Just wanted to share a couple of really weird dreams I had last night.
I took some melatonin and meditated before falling asleep. That's nothing new, but the amount of lights and shapes going on behind my eyelids before falling asleep was something else! Rainbow waves coming down and white circles retracting and expanding, opening up or being filled.. All sorts of shenanigans. Not terribly unusual as a phenomenon, but my god was it intense this time.
I'll add that, with this meditation, focusing on "freedom" as the change to manifest into my life, having led to such interesting changes in my mental state in the last month (the later attempts to focus on "healing" having brought scarce results for now), last night I chose to change the focus to "power", in its many forms and many uses, from knowledge to willpower to emotional stability to money to healing... In general, the idea of having power and using it, trying to stay free of limitations and anticipation (my intentions are positive, I promise
)
So first I find myself in the middle of a blazing forest fire, except it was a sort of.. Competition? Trial? Participants had to navigate through the fire and pick up things from the ground, pictures, documents, some golden/orange gems even, without getting burned or dying.. At the very beginning I was afraid, but then I kinda realized i'd had that dream before (I think that's true, from a long time ago?), so I knew how to move and felt like I was cheating.. I did find everything there was to be found and got out unscathed, though I don't know what I won.. pity. As I emerged from the forest I realized I was in a festival of sorts. Our achievements were being recorded through some computers too. Then I woke up thinking "How strange.. Didn't I have a dream like this before, years ago? Why again now? And why did I remember everything?" and felt like something really weird was going on.
Fell asleep again. Next dream I was in a completely unrecognizable place, dark and rocky, like a cave, with some very strange technology, as if scavanged from a number of different sci-fi settings. A person next to me, seemingly an acquaintance, was wearing a robotic suit made from the remains of an R2-D2 type robot (from star wars). I remember feeling a bit envious for not being chosen to do.. Whatever that person was supposed to do, which I think involved retrieving or finding something from the depths of this cave. Then suddenly the person in the suit is no longer a person but a greyish brain of sorts immersed in a liquid, and the temperature is clearly way too hot because I can see the liquid starting to boil. And the "brain" starts screaming in pain and asking "what have you done to me? Noooo!" (not directed at me). I swear the screams were terryfing.
And that's when I woke up, kind of horrified, and for some reason I immediately thought "I've always been such a coward. I was envious, but I would have never risked that, I would have gotten out of that suit as soon as I sensed danger".
I'm positive there was a third dream, but it left no trace except, again, for this strange feeling of searching or finding something.
So yeah. Strange night. I'm curious to see if this "search" will lead me to anything useful. Fun experiment if nothing else.

I suppose you know it's mild hallucinogen ?
