Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Caesarmas!

Let's all prepare for another hectic year on the BBM, because it may be our last . Hopefully this one will see less needless destruction than 2016. Either way, it feels like things are intensifying more and more each year that passes by. Stay safe everyone :)

Yup, "stay safe" is a very appropriate thing to wish everyone these days Keyhole  I second that!!

Merry Caesarmas/Winter Solstice everyone!

We wish everyone a healthy and rewarding New Year.

As for Christmas, we haven't felt much like celebrating anything for awhile now. So, we are not really "celebrating" Christmas. No gifts this year - it just seems somehow "off" to be giving gifts in commemoration of a myth and when so many people on the planet are suffering and doing without.

We are remembering that it is the Winter Solstice and the "return of the lengthening of days", so we put a live tree in a big pot in our salon with one string of lights on it, a butterfly on top and a few plastic baubles. Far cry from the elaborate trees of the past. We'll plant the tree in the yard when Spring comes. We DID do our usual exterior decorations for the benefit of neighbors.

We aren't having our usual turkey and dressing either. We are having a ham and sweet potatoes instead and keeping the dinner very low key. I didn't go all out on baking mountains of goodies this year either. It just seemed "off" to do that. We have cookies, date bread and one kind of pie for dessert.

So, basically, we have scaled things back severely and are not putting a lot of energy into a big "feast-celebration" that is not in keeping with the realities of our world. The benefits seem to be that we stick closer to our diet, conserve energy, save money. That's not a bad thing I guess.

Thanks for sharing, this sounds about right. We also scaled down, and only made small presents to others dear to us (not to each other). At home too, you can create a lot of atmosphere with less. And yes, I always liked the "light in the darkness" aspect of Christmas, which kind of goes together with the winter solstice celebration I guess.

Anyway, I wish everyone a quiet (and productive) time - one thing is for sure: next year will be even more turbulent! Stay safe and warm everyone!

I don't feel like it is Christmas. I'm doing a 24 shift today and now I'm resting a little bit. At least when there is work, time goes by more quickly.

Anyhow, Winter Solstice greetings. Let there be light!!

Merry Christmas to everyone. These days are for us just the other days, but I like to see how others live Christmas, for example how they become crazy in the stores like it is the end of the world. For the majority these days are days to spend money. And to eat fabulously.

Have nice days my friends!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everybody had a good day. I do agree with other saying that celebrating felt a bit off. What's even weirder is to see everyone else carry as usual as if everything is fine. Oh well...I hope that amidst the destruction to come, our world will manage to find some light.

Merry Christmas everyone! Wishing everyone a peaceful day and that you are surrounded by loving friends and family.

I haven't felt much like celebrating, either, but have decided to dedicate this day to holding the intent for a better world.

Big hugs, to all!

Merry Caesarmass/Christmas/Solstice everyone! It's hard to get into the festive season this year, and although I did get gifts for my immediate family and friends, it's been hard to enjoy the season. It feels more and more like things are coming to a head on the planet and things seem more uncertain as the days go by. But stay strong, stay warm and remember we are never alone. For the comments made about light, reminded me of this song by Jeff Healey.

See the Light - Jeff Healey

What I would rescue from Christmas is the wonderful thing about being able to spend a pleasant time with family and loved ones, enjoy your people! And of course I wish you all a very happy 2017 full of learning and awareness

Merry Christmas everyone! It's always a nice surprise to receive a card from the fellowship at this time of the year.

I haven't been active for years but I'm interested to read more about the crystal project. This year has been great and I have a girlfriend now, and she loves big rocks and crystals. Not in a healing way she just has an attraction to them and I got her a nice labradorite pendant for Christmas. Hopefully this will be a positive thing!

I understand what Laura says about Christmas. I've got the intuition that this is one of the last Christmas I celebrate.... Think that in the next times, we will move to something else... something more authentic and not just aboput one day in the year (that's what we try to do on the forum,I guess)...

Meanwhile.... Happy Christmas ! ;) There are still beautiful things at Christmas...

Hopefully it will be positive indeed - Crystals have quite an amazing history.
