Metal Houses & EMFs

Hello everyone,

I've been doing the EE every Monday and Thursday with a few missed sessions here and there. Recently I've noticed my work has increased and my family demands have increased as well. So now, when I start the EE, I'm lucky if I make it to the Warriors Breath without falling asleep. Maybe it’s zoning, but I really think I’m just zonking out from pure exhaustion.

However, before going to sleep on other nights I've been doing POTS with pipe breathing...I'll say the POTS anywhere from 5-15 times before going to sleep. On these nights, I've had many interesting dreams...about aliens attacking me with mind control, dreams that predict events that come true, and one other dream for which I would like to ask for some input here.

Here's the situation. We live in a small 2 bed/2 bath duplex in our little town walking/biking distance to both my work and my husband's work...we own just one very old car. Our home is a little small for our little boy (he needs more outside play space) and we've been considering moving to "the country" and investing more in our bikes. So one of my co-workers mentions in passing that she may end up renting out the house she lives in now. A small house in the country, 5 min. from town with an organic veggie/herb garden, green house, and lavender field. I said we might be interested in the future to rent this place from her. So a few days later we drove by the house to look at it. I noticed that the house had some kind of sheet metal siding, similar to what many people use on roof tops. Didn’t think much of it…

That night I did pipe breathing and POTS (maybe 10 times). My dream was basically a message urging me not to live in this house because of the metal siding adversely affecting health. It was something related to EMF’s and cell phone radiation. It really didn’t occur to me earlier, but it made some sense to consider what effect the metal siding may have on the EMF’s. Coincidentally (?), my co-worker co-owns the house with her ex-husband, who is not expected to live more than a month due to a reoccurring brain tumor :scared:. I told her about the dream and she said her ex persistently switched cell phone carriers until he could find one with a signal strong enough to penetrate the metal siding on the house. He did find one. They also have satellite TV.

So I’m wondering, and I hope others could help me think this through… if you have metal siding on your house, and you didn’t use any wireless technology in the house, wouldn’t that almost be a shield? Or would the metal actually attract all kinds of funky energy and be detrimental to health?

Now it just got a little more pressing today, because the owners of our current home intend to sell it and it seems they’ve found a buyer. We’ll either be kicked out or have our rent increased beyond our means! Now we are wondering…is it safe to live in a metal house??? Being so busy, I haven’t had time to research it, but I will share what I find. And I’m interested in the opinions of others here as well.

Thanks for “listening”!

Hi Tree,

It seems that metal is among the materials that provide shielding from EMFs:

http://www.emfsensitivity.com/FindHouseMaterial.html

Before purchasing or renting a house or apartment to live in, look carefully at the Construction of the house and the materials with which the house has been built. Generally speaking, you are looking for a house that can act as a Faraday cage and an Anechoic chamber, protecting you from electromagnetic fields by either conducting fields away from you or shielding you from these fields.

If you already own a house, you might consider making the following upgrades or renovations to help make your house more environmentally friendly. If at all possible, you or a friend should perform the renovations.

Both the Location and the Construction of a house will determine the EMF exposure of a house.

A) House Construction: Walls

The walls and roof of your house are your primary protection from surrounding towers. Materials that provide shielding from EMFs include:

1. Metal (Steel, Aluminum, Copper)
2. Stone
3. Stucco (covering chicken wire)
4. Cement block
5. Double Brick (two layers of brick)

Houses that are made of wood should be avoided. Fungus, which is considered to be a possible cause for EMF sensitivity, thrives in wood. Wood also does not offer strong shielding from electromagnetic fields.

B) House Construction: Roof

The roof of your house will also block EMFs from surrounding towers. Consider houses that use one of the following roofing materials:

1. Metal (Steel, Aluminum, Copper)
2. Tile
3. Slate/stone
4. Concrete

Roofs made of asphalt or wood are usually not strong enough to provide significant protection from EMF fields. [...]

The following interview is also very informative:

Brick is really good at doing that. I use to live in a townhouse that was all brick and most people would have to go outside to use their cellphones. I don't think they are totally impenetrable though, it just takes a stronger signal.

Speaking of metal houses, I often wonder if one of the reasons why lead based paint was outlawed was because it could interfere with external EMF signals? It could be one of those long-term 4D plans to keep a clear path for the beaming of individuals.

I've never come across any studies on lead paint and how it effects EMF signals, but I've just wondered if there is a connection, FWIW.

I mean, really, why the concern by government and medical authorities about lead paint when they seem to have no problem injecting people with mercury? It's kind of reminds me of the government concern about smoking tobacco.

And then there is the Seth material by Jane Roberts, which I read some 20 years ago. In one of the books Seth explicitly warns of buildings with aluminium sheets on the outside as unhealthy. As far as I remember this warning was not EMF specific and besides that little to no explanation was given.

In this article, it is mentioned that a relatively closed metal cage like a car could increase EMF signals inside it by reflecting it around multiple times. So if the house has metal on multiple sides and a metal roof, having EMF signals inside the house (such as wifi) may present a health problem.

I had a look at the "scientific research" page on the Q-Link site. Two of them are descriptions with no actual data. Another is claimed to be an ongoing study, no results so far. The first study is about a completely different device. Two of the devices are supposed to be single-blind, three don't, and another I can't even tell. Four of the studies are supposed to be double-blind, but there is no further information beyond a couple of paragraphs. Another study relates to "spiritually based holistic healing". So we're just supposed to take their word for it.

To me, it all seems very subjective and not at all forthcoming in regards to any sort of solid explanation of how this device works. Is it a company secret? Are we not allowed to know? Shall we just believe that this device works?

Also, for such a small device, I'm sceptical of how much radiation it would reduce from around your body. Especially considering how much our bodies are bombarded with every day.

I don't want to dismiss this device as effective, but it sounds extremely suspicious so far. I don't think many forum members here would happily sling one of these devices around their neck without actually knowing how it works. It could be beneficial, but it could also be doing further damage. And that's the last thing we need. I'm still open to the possibility of it being genuine, but from what I've read on their website, they're doing a very poor job of convincing us!

At least with silk we know what the material is and we can research it further. And we can test it. I don't know how reliably one could test the Q-link, and that's what concerns me. Just my 2 cents :)

Hi Menna,

If you look at the replies in that topic, it doesn't seem to be very positive, so I am curious why you want to bring it up again?

From what i know , lead based paint is based not on lead itself (which seriously shields against certain emf) but on lead oxide and i don't think lead oxide is very effective in this case , plus its fairly toxic.
Also , if its about shielding , depending on a material used , metal in this case , it shields from certain frequency bands , lead is very effective against VHF (very high frequency) like rays that are emmited during nuclear strike , the problem is that it has a sort of memory , if i remember correctly it adsorbs radiation for a certain time and the it becomes radioactive as well. Other metals do a good job with lower frequency bands. Also brick or cement will not be very effective if its about EMF , the fact it is effective is imo caused by metal cases/nets that are used during construction (to strenghten it) , that are grounding intercepted emf.

Of course that is my opinion , it would be cool if we could ask an expert because this is only my experience/opinion and i am not an expert :)

Yeah, that would be a pretty big problem. Most houses have windows, and microwave signals will zip right through them and then bounce around inside the "EM-resistant" walls. Making a totally EMF-proof enclosure is not an easy task, especially for microwave-frequency signals. The only real solution is to decrease the power levels at the transmitters, or better yet turn them off completely!

Vulcan59 - Didn't read over the responses to the previous topic until just now and with that being said i will say - give silk a try

The metallic siding could act to create a resonance cavity and allow the formation of standing EM waves which is not healthy to be in for long periods of time.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies! Its a lot to think about when "the metal house" is so affordable and tempting (greenhouse and gardens). I can theorize all day about it, but when the reality is in front of me, I'm trusting my gut and my dream, and the fact that one person who has lived there for over a decade is dying of a brain tumor. I haven't even had the time to watch the entire video about emf's and the bioinitiative group, but I will when I can. I am really grateful for the group of eyes, ears, and brains here... and hearts!!!

Hi Tree,

I was just wondering how much credibility you were putting into the messages in your dreams. In light of the fact that you also had dreams of alien attack through mind control, perhaps the message about the house was to sway you away from it.

I only suggest this as a possibility to consider as you weigh the evidence in your decision and in now way am I trying to sway you one way or another.

Regards,
Gonzo
