I'm not laughing at the 'concept' per se. I just think that it dosen't explain much. That could explain why 'some' debris that are already close to earth are drwan in but what else? Where do these comets/meteors come from? Did the atmosphere pulled them out of the Oort cloud? What about on Jupiter, same thing?
These are just examples. I just think that there is something far more important going on - that could be linked to this as well. So I still think they didn't bother to look much for anwsers as long as they had something that "sounded right" for most people. In other terms, I think it's a very poor portrait of the whole bigger picture.
I might be wrong though.

Agreed. I just thought, a bit like you said, that it dosen't explain all/much - hence my reaction.
But you are right, I shouldn't completely discard this possibility, that wouldn't be objective. It might be "one of the effects" of this Grand Scale Change. Thanks for pointing it out.
