San Francisco becomes a target for waves of destructive meteors after a rogue comet orbits around the earth... The release of a such movie, an accident ?

Hmm I don't know if I would call it an accident. When I used to work at Blockbuster, I'd see TONS of "b movies" that were about asteroids, meteors, etc... hitting the Earth. They never got any attention because they weren't Hollywood. So I don't know if I'd call it an accident, cause usually the studios know what they're doing. If there is a market for a movie, they'll make it even if it's "B". Just my thought on it.
