Brilliantly executed, intelligent science fiction with the original idea (like the excellent sunshine), a thought provoking and ultimate conspiracy form the British film makers.

I wont say much about it in fear of spoiling the twist.

:)

Yes, heard very good things about this film. It didn't have a very wide release but the critical reception has been very good. Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors too. Looking forward to the DVD release of this one.

As much as I liked how it went after the "2001: A Space Odyssey" look and athmosphere, it really lacked some depth. It could have gone to so much more interesting things with the story than it did.

Very beautiful, if haunting, soundtrack by the way.

I enjoyed the movie, especially with Sam Rockwell's performance.
Although my wife and I could guess the storyline pretty fast it's a nice movie, for an almost huit-clos in space :)

Well, I finally got a chance to catch this recently. I thought it was great, well shot and with a great score and cinematography. Rockwell does an amazing job in a demanding role. The film is subversive and paranoid. The question of free will is one of the underlying themes. It's more than just a sci-fi film IMO.

I just saw this too, and I have to agree with everything that you said. I enjoyed it quite a bit! I also enjoyed the soundtrack- it was very fitting with the mood of the movie.

And Sam Rockwell Rocks! No pun intended! ;D

*Tiny Spoiler*

I have to admit that I thought the movie was going to be more like 2001- with the computer going waco, etc.. so it was refreshing that it really wasn't like that.

Saw this movie good If you like it pleas watch :

- Pandorum.2009 si fi movie Good.

- Novaya.Zemlya.2008. - russia si fi movie :) very good

I love this movie! Extremely well thought out, there was so much detail, and so many clues that were apparent 2nd time through. Turn the lights down and concentrate if you watch it! The music was haunting, and I particularly liked the fact that nowheres in the station was religion mentioned except for the names of the four excavators. "Matthew's 11 miles on the button."

I saw it the other night. Very good and well done! One of the few sci-fi movies out there that has a good story to it and great acting.

I just rented it and I agree. It was nice for a change to see a film that wasn't just special effects but focused on the writing and acting. I really enjoyed it.

Had a chance to see this as well - it was a welcome classic sci-fi - the kind that doesn't need morphing monsters or morphing heroes - just a story line that, while not unpredictable, is also not out of the question, as far as possibilities are concerned.

Hubby and I saw this about a week ago and really liked it. As much as I like the whole monster movie genre, a nice classic story is very welcome. Rockwell did a fantastic job.
