Most Americans want this? Well, it's possible that it's just another phony study designed to sway public opinion. My father told me most Americans think it's a good idea to have their phone records collected and surveyed by the gov't, but you see he heard that from Fox News, National Review, and the Rush Limbaugh radio show -- he tunes in to no other input. In other media outlets, polls showed that most Americans had the opposite opinion.
Then again, maybe the polls are true but the wording swayed the results. Do you want "public policies to help prevent obesity" or do you want "government restrictions on what you are allowed to eat?"
Last week on CNN, I heard the most flawed poll question ever: "Do you think that Democrats running Congress will be good for America?" Huh? What? And if I say the truth, which is "no," you are going to assume that I think Republicans would be good, aren't you, because there are no other choices in your world, are there.
