"Geologist: Mountain tolerate less and less RAUMA (NRK): From Monday afternoon until Tuesday evening, it is expected heavy rainfall in Rauma. According to the geologist, it is just before the rock bursts. By Journalist Lena Stette Høyberget
At a press conference at 12 noon Monday informed the Chief of Police that they now forbid people to stand under the susceptible-to-landslides mountain "Mannen" (the Man).
At 1530 large press corps gathered again to hear the latest from geologist Lars Harald Blikra.
From Monday on, it is prohibited to be in the area beneath "Mannen".

The mountain has been relatively calm after the night's big moves, says geologist Lars Harald Blikra. It is just before the rain comes to Rauma. Tonight accelerated movements between three and five times more than it has done in recent days. Lars Olav Hustad hope that the slide goes soon, to get a clarification on the situation. Probable that the slide will occur within the next day.
He expects that the mountain will react when the rain comes. "The man" tolerates less and less, and reacts with large movements of rainfall, says geologist.
Blikra has together with, among others, Mayor Lars Olav Hustad been on re-inspection on Monday morning. Geologists take pictures several times a day both to document and to see how the mountain moves.
