My 3-Year-old's odd warning

My three year old son never seems to make it through night in his own bed and always sneaks in sometime in the early morning. 2 days ago he woke up beside me and the first thing he told me was to not go swimming in the ocean. He said "you can't go swimming in the ocean because there are divers under the water and they're makin' a big earthquake. And you have to stay out of the lights that are shining down through the water because they're makin' a big earthquake under there- so don't go swimmin' under the water ok mom?" This was about three days after the major earthquake near sumatra and although we live in Singapore, we don't ever have MSM news on and the earthquake was never discussed in the presence of my children. This was just a little weird to say the least because I didn't even know that he knew what an earthquake was in the first place! He's an excellent communicator for his age and there was no mistaking what he was saying but he's still only three....very strange.

That's very interesting, not just talking about earthquakes but earthquakes caused by humans, and 'light'. Has he ever overheard you talking about things like that?

McCanney is convinced the Japan earthquake causing the Tsunami was man made, by guess whom.

I guess Israel , I have heared that rumor from another guy and his website. I didn't had time to check any of those "informations" out yet.

I think the consensus here is that although the early science of McCanney is good, he has recently gone off the rockers, falling into paranoia.

I was not awake enough at the time to be able to ask any questions and after I just assumed he was referring the recent one. The only conversation he heard regarding earthquakes was an update from my husband about text message he received from friends traveling in Sri Lanka at the time saying that there had been an earthquake and that they had been evacuated from the beach. No mention that the earthquake occurred under the ocean, definitely no mention of possible human causes of earthquakes -that is info only I'm aware of within my household and I have mentioned the theory to my husband after the C's mentioned it in reference to Cuba but that is not a conversation i would have in front of our kids. I did try to ask my son about it a few days later though. I reminded him about what he told me and then asked if it was now safe to go swimming in the ocean and in typical toddler fashion he made up some fantastical story that came from his imagination. So no dice.
I will mention though that he seems to be at that funny age where they have access to information that the rest of us adults generally don't. He's also been telling me lately about how his son took him out on a small boat but that his "life" didn't like it. After a few more questions a realized he was trying to say wife :D And I remember my other children had similar experiences too around this same age.

Yikes! I missed seeing that thread. It's quite alarming how often earthquakes are being reported by fellow forumites.

Not to be too conspiracy minded, but I do find it a bit of a coincidence that the big Sumatran earthquake happened on the 11th just like a lot of other big disasters.

I`m going to try to post some pic`s taken from google earth, showing some very odd underwater structures. There are many strange things down there and these are only a couple of them. Don`t know if they will come up here, but I`ll try!
