My brother suffers, I think, from Asperger's. He hasn't been diagnosed yet, because living in England, on the National Health Service, waiting for treatment can take a long time. And anyway, I'm not sure if he has filled out an application form for treatment, as he feels ashamed of his condition.
Anyway, he lives in my father's flat in London. Above him, lives a lady doctor, respected by all who live in the building.
Apparently, she spends most of her evenings mocking his loneliness, calling him a pervert, jobless loser, weirdo, etc. She says she
picks on him, because he hasn't got anybody.
The walls are very thin, so she knows which room he is in (and follows him around), which radio programme he listens to, who comes to visit - everything.
My uncle, cousin and father have done a lot to help him, including finally getting him benefits to live on.
After he had confided in them about this problem, they approached her, but found her charming, educated, plausible and concerned for my brother, so of course since he has obvious mental health issues, they think he is imagining the whole thing.
So do the police.
He tells me she is an accomplished liar and a sicko, who herself has absolutely no one. Who would believe his story against hers?
I think you get the picture...
Now, although I don't see him often, as I live in a different country, I know him better than anyone else and I don't think he is imagining this, although there is a chance he is being paranoid. His mails consist mainly of one line, so it's hard to glean much information from him.
I sent him a voice recorder to settle the matter for once and for all, but her voice was too soft to be picked up.
Can anyone recommend a device? - not too hightech - that will do the trick? I've looked on Amazon, but can't find exactly what I'm looking for.
