My Missing Brother

I have lost contact with my younger brother who lives in Bradenton Fla. We usually talk every 3-6 weeks. We are not very close but we keep in touch. His wife died this summer and he has been very depressed. (I should say extremely) I spoke with him a few times after that but I felt unable to help get him out of the dumps.

He always calls me around my birthday in September but I did not hear from him. When I called him, his 2 phone numbers were disconnected. I did not hear from him at Thanksgiving eather, so I have started to think the worse case. Now his phone numbers belong to other people.

There is no record of his death at the county records but that doesn't rule out his ability to do something really 'out there.' And now I feel pretty bad about not being able to help him more than I did.

I have tried everything. So at this point I'm assuming he's gone but I am having trouble grieving because I am not 100% sure.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

How about calling the police in Bradenton, explain that you are concerned, give them your brother's last known address and phone numbers, and ask them to look into it.

Thank you Laura.

I just called the police to do a 'welfare' check. I don't think they will call me so I will call them back in another hour if I don't hear from them.

If the Welfare Check is unsuccessful, PM me his info, and I'll try to find him for you hon. :hug2:

A Bradenton city police officer knew a sheriff that had worked on a vice operation with my brother (not necessarily a good thing) found my brother and got a message to him. My brother called me from a barrowed cell phone at the cab company he just started work at.
