A documentary about a filmmaker who spent everyday for nearly a year diving into a kelp forest in the ocean near his home and followed the life of, and eventually befriended an octopus in the process. It was very touching, the score was superb and you learn how incredibly intelligent and adaptive these creatures are. I highly recommend it.

I watched this nearly two years ago during lockdown. It is a very interesting and touching documentary. Soon after having watched it a friend of mine was in lockdown at their beach vacation home. Her three kids discovered an octopus living in a rock pool nearby. Her eldest boy who was 12 at the time developed a relationship with it. The octopus recognised him in particular and would come out to greet him to receive snacks and be patted.

I also highly recommend watching it!

The funniest part was when it showed that Octopi have bad days too. He (or was it she?) Was sitting there brooding, then a fish comes by and octopus just punches the fish.
