I saw this craze on X and had not known anything about Ghibli until now. Read up on them and saw the Princess Mononoke movie right after and was amazed by the quality and the hard word that went into the detail. So, yeah, it is helping them become more famous but at the same time, it is indeed an insult too. All it will end up doing is creating more soulless and useless art. I am personally not in favour of this.

This is the anime version of a beloved photo of me and my siblings (Using a different application from ChatGPT) It is a memory, as long as my brothers or I are alive this photo has soul. The anime version just gives it more life, it doesn't lower it, it doesn't take away the soul. I don't think the creator of Ghibili Style will be offended. The anime style is proper of the Japanese people not of a particular person.

I had a weird vision a few days ago just as I was going to sleep of cartoon versions of people on the forum, all looking at their screens networking, and doing other stuff, (can't remember very well now, just hanging out I think) then I saw this and it reminded me of it. I thought, how funny :)
