A new nova in the Lupus Constellation.

Unless a mistake from my part, this is the first nova within 1000 light years away in our lifetime:

Lupus Constellation Distance From Earth

You cannot just go to one location and arrive in the Lupus constellation, and this is because it is made up of stars at different positions and distances. The nearest main star (Zeta Lupi) in the constellation is at a distance of 117.32 light-years, and the furthest main star is Hilasmus, at a distance of 883.91 light-years. The average distance to the major stars is 384.49 light years. Main stars refer to the stars that make up the constellation outline.
Though, it might be the case that effects on Earth have to be measured to be really sure about its distance.

A near-Earth supernova is an explosion resulting from the death of a star that occurs close enough to the Earth, less than roughly 10 to 300 parsecs [33 to 978 light-years] away, to have noticeable effects on its biosphere.

Reminder from sessions:

Another marker, specially considering the war between Israel and Iran?:

Ukraine explosion; chemical or nuclear. Hawaii crash; aviation, possibly involving military. More California seismic activity after 1st of year: San Diego, San Bernardino, North Bakersfield, Barstow: all are fracture points. Hollister, Palo Alto, Imperial, Ukiah, Eureka, Point Mendocino, Monterrey, Offshore San Luis Obispo, Capistrano, Carmel: these are all stress points of fracture in sequence. "Time" is indefinite. Expect gradual destruction of California economy as people begin mass exodus. Also, Shasta erupts; Lassen activity. Ocean floor begins to subside. Leave channel open and pause: Queen Elizabeth serious illness; blood related. Princess Diana suicide attempt. Gas explosions this winter in NE United States, Texas and other. Supernova and unusual weather all over. Memphis feels tremors. Minneapolis banking scandal relates to mysterious Nordic covenant. Evangelical sexual tryst exposed. Gold is discovered in California after one of the quakes. UFOs dramatic increase and Gulf Breeze gets swarmed, becomes massive "Mecca". Laura sees much more UFO activity. Huge wave of UFO activity. All manner and origins. Just you wait, it will give you chills and that feeling in the pit of your stomach. Many aliens will appear and we will be visible too. Think of it as a convention. All must awaken to this. It is happening right now. The whole populace will play individual roles according to their individual frequencies. This is only the beginning. Just you wait "Henry Higgins," just you wait!

Distance needed to have an effect on Earth and its inhabitants:

Q: (L) What would be the effect of cosmic rays emitted by a supernova that is in some proximity to the earth on the human body?

A: Genetic splice of strand.

Q: (L) How close would a supernova have to be to have this effect?

A: 2000 light years.

"Foot" meaning, south?:

A: For supernova, look to the "foot."

Unless a mistake from my part, this is the first nova within 1000 light years away in our lifetime:
Couldn't find any information about the distance of this nova. It is not a supernova, by the way:

A nova is characterized by a sudden increase in the brightness of a star, typically occurring in a binary star system where a white dwarf accretes material from a companion star. This process leads to a thermonuclear explosion on the surface of the white dwarf, but the star itself remains intact afterward. In contrast, a supernova marks the violent death of a star

ChatGPT:
At this early stage, reliable distance estimates (via parallax or light-curve analysis) have not yet been published.

Why this happens:

The nova is still brightening and evolving.

Accurate distance determination typically relies on later follow-up observations—using methods like Gaia parallax or expansion during the nebular phase.

These measurements can take weeks to months to collect and analyze.

In short: As of June 17, 2025, the distance to V462 Lupi remains unknown. Astronomers will likely publish it once sufficient data are acquired. If you’d like, I can help you track updates in the coming weeks!

I asked him to give me an update about it once a week. Will see how it goes. The nova is still brightening. It is now 5.9 in magnitude.

It is not a supernova, but perhaps it can still have an influence on us if it is close enough.
