Have been followed with this mars-saturn tag in my charts for so long, so thought at the time it was in reference to my star charts. Mars-Saturn is considered to be a destructive force, yet again to whom. Have spend many years taming this fire to a centered balance, yet apparently still have some more to release or else it would have not triggered such a caring.
Hello jasminescents! I like astrology, and my hubby has a lot of Mars-Saturn signatures in his chart. In teachings of a more ancient astrology, Mars with Saturn is called "malefic" in it's influence. To me that means difficult. Doing things the hard way. Stoic. Strict. Hard stuff with the father and/or patriarchy, slow and steady as you go, step by step, inch by inch...(add your own!)

As you said, 'spent many years taming this fire...'
fwiw, "A Disturbance in the Force" can mean a 'blip' in the Universe or Matrix radar! A 'blip' that says 'there's potential here!' And like the C's said, 'All there is is lessons!'
Over the years I've seen the suffering and difficulties this planetary combo brings to my loved ones and myself--especially in the way of hard lessons about reality and work in the world system. It seems we choose our lessons, and Mars-Saturn's lessons can have a lot to do with responsibility, and experiencing restriction of many kinds until the lessons are learned. All difficult planetary combos and signs/houses push the individual to overcome the karmic influences through work on the self which involves seeing through our many illusions, which involves suffering. Sound like a typical Capricornian initiation?
An individual can feel dang depressed when in the midst of a Saturn-Mars transit or planetary period! Choosing between victim-hood and giving up, or success and achievement, when overcoming the burdens and restrictions, is part of the Mars/Saturn journey.
Mars with Saturn brings fruition or reward over time (sometimes feels like endless time, eh?) having to do with discipline, paying one's dues, and then manifestation of something solid and enduring. Something that was built 'brick by brick' over time, that is useful or protective for others perhaps. There's a lot of service potential in Mars with Saturn (or Mars in Cap.) STO. My hubby and I are currently in another Mars-Saturn lesson learning school. Luckily, with a little help from the Great Benefic, Jupiter! ;)
