The head of the commitee, Thorbjørn Jagland, is known in Norway for his frenzied pro-EU stance - he once called the EU "the greatest accomplishment of modern civilization". The one member of the Nobel commitee who has been adamantly opposed to Norway entering the EU has been on sick leave the later months. In Norway most of the reactions has been incredolous from what I've seen.

Heard the news late in the evening... probably the most important 'price' in the World has been spoofed... again. The one who's going to rationalize that will loose a piece of his soul. Best ponerization propaganda ever seen so far

In fact, This makes sense. We all know for each award or pat there is separate meaning in this STS world. Did you remember colin powell got award from Queen after his wonderful speech in UN about the WMD in Iraq ?. This one is achievement for NWO as the EU is first of the regions they want to combine.
OR
since some of the countries want to separate from EU, they need to put some credibility of EU into people's mind, so sacrifice the credibility of Nobel prize ( how ever small it left ). They used the same tactic in conferring it to Obama, but that didn't go well.

I am very angry with this Nobel Prize. I think it is not a joke and I think that it is a message that the EU is sending to us. I don't know why this situation, the Prize, is bothering me because it reminds me the Nazis. I see in this situation a huge Pride (soberbia in Spanish) like the Nazis had. The Nazis believed they were the best, the right, the only ones. They were in fact an insult to humanity, but they were very proud to be what they were. I see in this Nobel Prize an insult to all the European countries and a clarification: there are the leaders, the EU, those who won the Prize. And the rest. This Nobel Prize is very insulting and makes me mad. As the Nazis, the EU are a gang of monsters and killers (NATO), torturers, bandits, but they are proud of their actions, and this is a message that, I have the impression, they are sending to us. I don't know if I am clear in what I say. It is like they are telling us: you are a bunch of microbes, we are so good, you suffer because of our measures but we win the Nobel Prize. And this is hurting me very much. It is giving to themselves a Prize because they are the devil on this planet. The devil is giving himself a prize. And the devil is telling us who is the winner.
