Number 'five' or your own number.

The Force is Strong With This One
5.jpg

Hello Everyone,

Well, I hope it's the right thread to start this topic. I tried 'search' option and I haven't found nothing similar.

It's kind of esoteric or numeric message for me but I will ask you, what do You think about it. Until I can remember persecuted me a number 'five'. Writing 'persecuted' I mean everything I was doing, there was always something that consider a 'five' and it comes further so badly that it has become impossible to missing. It wasn't like someone told me 'listen honey, there always has to be five of something - no, it was just my own notice.
For example -
- always five friends around me when one has left then it couldn't stay four, it was like 'lack of one' so spontaneous the whole was patched,
- always five pets in home (same story - when lack of one then never four or less could stay, one was in 'search mode')
- always five best music albums,
- always five lessons in school
I could mention it all day but these was taken until my childhood, now it looks like, I have to make five steps to enter my house, have to do 5km from schol/work to home...

I don't even know, is it my favourite or the worst number... Sometimes I count on five when something wrong is happening and it seems to help and sometimes I count on five with sure and it disappoints me. By years I started to treat number five as 'someone'.

It reminds me about '23' movie or what Cassiopaean said in 'The Wave' about Seven. So my question is,
- What do You know 'esoteric' or anything in our 'topics' about number five ?
- What are your numbers that are your friends or enemies ?

If this thread find this interesting. I will tell more about it, with multiplication and division with this number and happening connected.

Thank You !

There’s a thread discussing similar, plus some links to other threads on the same subject here: noticing repeating numbers

My take on it is that we probably shouldn’t read too much into such things, which can be a sign of "pattern recognition run amok". Maybe pick another number and soon you might see that that starts to appear everywhere too. Attention has been primed to more readily notice a particular number and then, as if by magic, there it is everywhere!

The subject of looking for correspondences in numbers, that may or may not be there, brings this quote from Umberto Eco’s 'Foucault's Pendulum' to mind.:

Amid all the nonsense there are some unimpeachable truths... I invite you to go and measure [an arbitrarily selected, but specific] kiosk. you will see that the length of the counter is one hundred and forty-nine centimeters - in other words, one hundred-billionth of the distance between the earth and the sun. The height at the rear, one hundred and seventy-six centimeters, divided by the width of the window, fifty-six centimeters, is 3.14. The height at the front is nineteen decimeters, equal, in other words, to the number of years of the Greek lunar cycle. The sum of the heights of the two front corners is one hundred and ninety times two plus one hundred and seventy-six times two, which equals seven hundred and thirty-two, the date of the victory at Poitiers. The thickness of the counter is 3.10 centimeters, and the width of the cornice of the window is 8.8 centimeters. Replacing the numbers before the decimals by the corresponding letters of the alphabet, we obtain C for ten and H for eight, or C10H8, which is the formula for naphthalene. ...With numbers you can do anything you like. Suppose I have the sacred number 9 and I want to get the number 1314, date of the execution of Jacques de Molay - a date dear to anyone who professes devotion to the Templar tradition of knighthood.

...Multiply nine by one hundred and forty-six, the fateful day of the destruction of Carthage. How did I arrive at this? I divided thirteen hundred and fourteen by two, by three, et cetera, until I found a satisfying date. I could also have divided thirteen hundred and fourteen by 6.28, the double of 3.14, and I would have got two hundred and nine. That is the year Attalus I, king of Pergamon, ascended the throne. You see? ...The universe is a great symphony of numerical correspondences... numbers and their symbolisms provide a path to special knowledge. But if the world, below and above, is a system of correspondences where tout se tient, it's natural for the [lottery] kiosk and the pyramid, both works of man, to reproduce in their structure, unconsciously, the harmonies of the cosmos.

I agree with Aladas post. There is always the danger to interpret too much into them. From time to time I notice it too that some numbers are in my daily life more often than others. It is something I just notice, like "that's interesting" and then I keep on doing what needs to be done at that moment.

It works also with any other object if you like. For example if you read something about a certain car and then go out in the streets then you suddenly see this car at almost every corner, because you now know how it looks and your pattern recognition program got primed with that specific car and is with that easier to see and to find in the daily life.

I agree with Gawan and Alada, our brain runs like a computer most of the times and if you focus your attention to some particular subject like numerology or something else your brain can recognize this particular subject or pattern much easier. I don't say that numbers or numerology don't have a deeper meaning, they sure do but for us at this stage of development i think more important is to focus on doing the Work, learning our lessons. Anyway just my 2 cents here :) .
BTW the number 5 is one of my favourite numbers .

BTW, the Cassiopeia Constellation has 5 brightest stars, that make the W shape.

Thanks ! Your answers are very helpful not only to this thread but in daily life too. So I will treat it as a lesson. I thought about it and now you make me feeling sure. I like this way of finding the truth with a bit of 'fresh brainh thinking'. ;D

Great You mentioned Arkadiusz Jadczyks speech its so interesting as well !
