Numerology on the Periodic table

The Living Force
Gold (Au)

I was in the lab today and was practicing not having thoughts. I caught a glimpse of the vibrantly colorful periodic table we have hanging in an interior window. The thing that caught my eye further ( as there really is no reason for me to be so interested in a periodic table i've seen countless times) is the fact that Rhenium (Re), a transition metal, stood out to me for some reason.

So I got up and walked closer to investigate, as i've been noticing that recently these little quirks of mine usually lead to some sort of insight. Anyways I walked a bit closer to examine the details of that particular atom ; 75 protons, molecular weight 186...blah blah blah. Then it hit me!

The number of protons...(7+5=12--->1+2 = 3) Prime number. Hmmm well then I thought well they probably all do that if I take it to that extent and surprisingly enough very little of them do. So of course I go to gold just to see. Au, 79 protons, 7+9=16--->1+6=7. Eureka.

Now I know this could just be a huge coincidence but at the same time we as a culture have an affinity for gold as well as the lizzies, alchemist, so on and so forth. If I ignore the fact that it is suppose to be rare and valuable "monetarily" , I still have to ponder what the implications could be.

Another one that sparked my interest was nitrogen. It has 7 protons and a nitrogen to nitrogen bond is one of the MOST stable bonds in existence. Nitrogen also makes up 70% of the air we breath. So what do you guys think?

P.s. This also comes on the heels of me reading through the law of 3 and law of 7 section at the beginning of Ouspensky's book "The Fourth Way" So I'm curious to say the least bit.

And don't get me started on dates. When I read the rough prediction from the C's ( I know we're not suppose to get hung up on dates) sometime in june or july 2014, I thought ok 2014 adds up to 7 and the julian date for june 9 2014 is 160 which also adds up to 7. Hmmm I will also be 25 on that date which adds up to 7. That's a bit much i know. But interesting none the less

Hi trendsetter37,
If you haven't, reading the psychology and cognitive science board may be useful to have a deeper understanding of how our minds work and process information. The Adaptive Unconscious and Thinking, Fast and Slow may be good starting points in this specific context.

Since you are reading about the laws of 3 and 7, you are more likely to consciously see these numbers even if from a purely statistical standpoint they occur with similar frequency as other numbers. Apophenia is an umbrella term used to describe this phenomenon.

This is not to say that one cannot get intuitive insights. Learning about how our minds work helps in separating out what could be meaningful insight from what is perceived as order in randomness.
