If there ever is a next time, you could scrap it off with a fork like that one person tried!

I even had them on the front AND back of my car. I don't do anything halfway....including screw up. :-[

ROFL - oops, apologies for laughing. Seemed funny if it weren't so sad, eh? Obviously many are in the same boat or the video would barely be noticed on YouTube.

Obviously many are in the same boat or Obama wouldn't be sitting in the Whitehouse

It's ok to laugh hon, I was dumb...very, VERY dumb. :-[

I don't know about dumb. How about blinded by hope and wishful thinking?

Same thing happened with Clinton too. America is starving for a hero. Pretty good time for some "savior" alien to land, since obviously there are know humans capable of leading humanity from themselves (he says sarcastically).

There are a lot of people who are trying to remove those things, I'm sure. Luckily I didn't put any on my vehicles.
It's sad when you have to choose the lesser of two evils.

LOL...thanks Gonzo. I don't know that there's a great deal of difference between being "dumb" and being "blinded by hope and wishful thinking" ..but it does sound a little nicer. :-[

I knew Clinton was a corporate puppet...but I really believed Obama could be different. A person of color, with very little political experience or connections...etc. etc. I even met him before the primaries... shook his hand, looked in his eyes, and I THOUGHT I saw a real person in there.

Sometimes I wonder if there is any difference at all between "hope" and "self delusion?"

If you had been reading SOTT a few years before the elections, you would have known that any hope would have been a fool's hope...

Go ahead and rub it in... I deserve it

Unfortunately, I never heard of SOTT until after the chicken hawk sued you. :(

Hindsight is always 20/20, eh?

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt too.

I'm thinking some of us, especially those of us who always seem to have to take the long, bumpy road of learning the hard way, need to experience great extremes of hope fading to bleak disillusionment before we can learn. Hopefully, we learn to recognize the patterns so the painful lessons of trusting too much, of jumping with both feet before seeking all perspectives and landing on sharp rocks, stop - at least for this type of lesson.

After being so painfully deceived by every religion I adopted and then countless trips down New Age Avenue, I still catch myself trusting where I shouldn't. But at least I am catching myself. I really hope I continue on this path and get to the point that the automatic trusting comes to an end and is replaced by a more objective manner of discernment. It is truly a bugger of a buffer.

Isn't that so. There was so much excitement among my (rather young and very liberal) coworkers, especially the the Blacks. But there were also many warning signs. My vote was very much against the alternative. I don't personally find "hope" in the political process, although I do think it is a necessary process in the world in which we find ourselves. A "necessary evil?"
