Obligatory soft food diet :(

Due to some dental procedures being done I will soon have to spend 2 weeks eating only soft and liquid food and I am already dreading it.
I have managed to significantly lower my carbs but still slightly over 70 gr, so this will be a major set back.
Any ideas for kosher soft food diet would be much appreciated.

The first thoughts that come to mind are, do you have a blender/food processor?
Well cooked bacon+butter blended. Slow cooked meat+butter blended. Slow cooked/steamed fish. Mashed sweet potatoes+butter. Blended cooked kale+butter.
You will probably have to experiment, but slow cooked then blended meat or steam (then possibly blended) fish may be your best options.

Ham salads, chicken salads, turkey salads, pates, etc. You can put the meat in a processor, then mix it with a bit of home-made mayonnaise, and eat it on soft lettuce. Or, chop the lettuce up and mix it in and just eat it that way. Finely ground meat made into patties and partly fried/partly steamed may also work.

Liquid foods can be bone broths, long cooked stewed meat.

Some good food advice offered above by others.

Hope it all goes well and take good care while going through the process Herr Eisenheim.

Those sounds like good plan, thank you guys.
I was thinking mostly about broths which are my favorite but was afraid of loosing more weight. I also think I was paralyzed with the prospect, normally I would find the idea of blending cooked bacon very unappealing.

If you are going for liquid and your body is ok with tea/butter/digesting a lot of fat - butter tea has been reported to be very filling. Perhaps add butter to the broth too? You will need some protein to help trigger fat digestion though.
As long as you are getting enough fat (and some protein) and your digestion is working ok, you won't loose weight.

You can try soft boiled or even hard boiled eggs too, if you tolerate them (heck even sunny side up is soft -- any eggs I guess). Butter / ghee or lard -- liquid or solid. Adding butter to the broth is great. That's what I do. Also when my father had a stroke last year, I was making him bacon and hard boiled eggs in the blender and adding the bacon grease. I tasted it and it was delicious.

I had some serious dental work done years ago, and I agree with everyone else. You can put ANYTHING in a blender. Bacon, steak, ham, chicken...and you don't even have to take the bones out first. Just turn it on "High," give it about 30 seconds to a minute, add a little salt...and you've got a pork chop slurpee.

Good luck hon, I feel for ya...dental work sucks the giant honking big one. :hug2:
