Do we eat healthy, if we buy such "organic" product ?

Nope. It's not just how the animal was fed (grass, no GMO, no antibiotics) but how it is raised that should factor into our decisions to eat it. Animals should be allowed to roam and be free from abusive practices. Their time on the farm should be as stress free as possible and when it's time for slaughter it should be quick. A violent death on top of an abusive farm life taints the meat with fear and stress hormones. I'd rather eat a happy cow.

It's not always possible to buy local and visit the farmer who raises your meat, or even to raise our own livestock, but it's certainly ideal.

What really bothers me about this, aside from the obvious psychosis of those involved, is the useless pain and torture these animals felt before their deaths. I've been a hunter for a number of years, and have known friends and family that raised animals for slaughter. And, if done correctly, they can be dispatched with little to no pain before the moment of death. It's just so unnecessary. That's not even to mention that some of these workers seem to enjoy inflicting pain, which is quite clearly psychopathic, or at least extremely disturbed.

If I were the owner of this slaughterhouse, I would be firing all of those involved in cruelty and investing in some education for new employees on proper methods of slaughter. That's what's so sad to me about this, is the sheer avoid-ability of it all...

If I were the CEO, I'd be filling a lawsuit and an investigation on the worker who used unnecessary and excess force, for their malfeasance and abuse of power. There is absolutely no excuses for them to be conducting themselves in that manner. That is torture! It cannot be put in any other terms.

I cannot believe how inhuman people can be, that they'd enjoy inflicting pain on another living creature.

Really horrific and infuriating... :(
