Orions belt

The Force is Strong With This One
Just a thought, I've been looking up at the sky recently as there's been a lot of ufo activity in the uk (as elsewhere) and have seen a few unusual things (orange orb on new years eve for one). Also been reading "The Book of Enoch", mostly because it was one of the books left out of the bible by Constantine and it was one of the Dead Sea Scrolls. It mentions a sign left in the heavens by the Lord Of Spirits (i think that means what we would call God, although not Yahweh)

Orions belt is commonly known and easy to spot as the 3 stars forming the belt, but either side of the middle star are 2 equidistant stars, forming a cross in the sky. I know that the symbol of the cross was hijacked by the catgholic church, but it's also a universal symbol. Any thoughts?

Here's a link for the translation on the Book of Enoch if you fancy a read.

Not sure if the translation is accurate.

Thanks for the reminder about the book of Enoch. There is an interesting duality in the Catholic tradition about crosses; the tall, crucifixion cross vs. the symmetric, iron cross or encircled cross, worn by higher clergy. Some place the encircled cross as a symbol of killing, so... I am in truth lost about this. Just watch that film Excalibur, and during the wedding scene, the lower stem of the cross gets getting obscured, seeming to imply a dual nature to Arthur's religion. Or perhaps look into the "5th Element" and you'll find way out of place encircled antique stone crosses on the desk in his apartment. Then there is the Rothschild's usage of the cross today, seem everywhere on Swiss Army knives. And finally, the Mormons, an arguably Christian-based religion, spurn crosses as if they are satanic. ??

Back in my old Mormon days, I understood that wearing a cross(crucifix) was downright disrespectful. The thought was if my child was killed with a handgun, would I wear a handgun around my neck, on a necklace for remembrance?

AI: thanks a lot for that. More plausible. Digging back now several years, I question the source who told me the "satanic" thing: An irate Christian. On the right track, but that blasted 2% mis/disinfo can twist everything!!
