Personally, in America, it seems the reality of the situation is a combination of the two views. We see the "Brave New World" all around us constantly and if you dig below the surface you run into the disinformation and censorship of "Big Brother." In a place such as North Korea, however, the "Brave New World," is kept at bay while "1984" is the norm.
