Thinking about what McGilchrist said about left and right hemisphere development in little kids, and if I remember correctly, that the right hemisphere is more developed in the very young and then the left hemisphere develops along with acquiring language. I figured that is one reason why little kids can say some very wise things. The other reason, as previously documented in reincarnation materials, is that little kids might have better recall of past lives.
Also, little kids can say some of the funniest things! I was tossing up putting this topic in the Tickle Me section.
Some funny stuff:
- What does R.S.P.C.A stand for? Royal Society for the Prevention of Careless Animals.
Listening to some neighbourhood kids conducting a play wedding ceremony and the one playing the priest says, 'Do you take this man to be your awfully wetted husband?'
One that had me wondering about past life relationships: A relative's toddler is just learning to talk and is at the stage of learning names by copying her mum. The other day the mother was pointing to different people in the room and naming them and the toddler was copying. The mother pointed to me and said my family nickname, but the toddler kept saying 'dadda' with the biggest smile on her face even when corrected. Apart from me being female, my family nickname doesn't sound like dadda at all!
Anyways, I thought it would be fun and interesting to share some of the things we've heard little kids say.
