ozzy smokers help please

greetings,

apologies if this not the right section, wasn't sure where to post it.

living in Western Austrialia, I have found it impossible to get natural american spirit rolling tobacco...I currently smoke the pre rolled american spirit which i like very much, but the place i get them through says they can't get the rollies, which I would like to try. Due to our excessive import tax on tobacco none of the online companies will post me this product as they have to stay in customes for months, is anyone who has managed to get the rollies in this part of the world whi could point me in the right direction!?

I am in NSW and I have even worse news...my tobacconist said that they will not get anymore ready rolled spirit at all because they have to print all those horrible pictures on the packaging just for the Australian market and its not worth their while....the market is too small...and I dont know if one can import them privately
I may have to ring customs and find out

well, that is bad news, I will have to have a chat to some of my over seas friends and maybe see if I can get them to buy and send them to me, I will have a chat to my tobaccoist and see if they have heard the smae story from their suppliers.

I wonder if there are any other brands that we can get here that are chemical free?

Not that I am aware of. I looked everywhere for chemical free tobacco but was unable to find any. Let me know if you have any luck.

will do. (when i was living in Melbourne they used to sell organic tobacco at the victoria markets by the kg, it was pretty strong stuff but not sure if they are still doing it)

I know that at least here in WA, Amercian spirit is ordered through Swedich Match (they do all the tallyho papers and filters and such) I might try them to see if there is a way to get american spirit directly..will post info when i get some answers :)

I have not contacted them as I am still able to get my american spirits, well for the time being anyway, the tobacoist i get them from hasn't heard anything about not being able to get them but she said she would tell me if she heard anything

My husband smokes Nat Shermans, don't know if you can get them over there tho...

This is the company who was bringing in the Spirits, but unfortunately my tobacconist has confirmed that they are being discontinued and in fact I have my last carton in the cupboard as we speak. My tobacconist has sourced Nat Shermans for me and assures me they are readily available in Australia. They are also chemical free.

My tobaccoist, has just got the Nat Sherman "naturals" range in, they pretty good, it's a shame the american spirits are no longer available here but at least we have something :) thanks again for the info

I've found that tobacconists in Melbourne still stock Naturals and also Manitou. So look out for both of these! :)

Yeah, those Shermans are expensive. I bought my husband some as a Xmas gift and my jaw dropped when the clerk rang them up.

yeah they are around $120 (australian dollars) for a carton of ten packs, although my tobacconist said she would do me a deal if I bought in bulk, we'll see how that goes :)

I smoke a 100% tobacco brand called "Native" produced by the Mohawk. They have several other all natural brands too. They do sales tax free mail order (Indian Tribe's are sales tax exempt) ...but I do not know the rules on your end. Something to check out :)
