Rien, nothing. Impossible to transform a PDF in Mobi.

It can be that on yours it's displayed differently - just find the menu for the settings.

Then, you must find the options for the "device" - in French, it can be "options de l'appareil" or another name. We want to find the technical info about it.

So it's either "device model" or "device info" ("infos de l'appareil"). Can you click on it and tell me the exact name that is written?

Do not write the WIFI address or the SERIAL number on the forum. Just the Firmware and the model of the Kindle. "Kindle Fire DE-79" or something like that...

I just checked, basically you need to connect your Kindle with the cable to the computer and then copy the PDFs into the Documents folder on the Kindle. Then you can open those by going to the Home screen on the Kindle and clicking on 'Documents' or 'Docs'. The PDFs should appear there.

One thing to keep in mind is that some PDFs use text and some use scanned images of text. The latter do not display well on the Kindle.

If all that doesn't work, then converting PDFs to mobi should work, unless it is a PDF with scanned images of text.

Agreed.

I just would rather convert to epub than to the outdated mobi. Newer kindles can read it directly and for older ones calibre can convert to a readable format like azw3.

I just converted a user manual.pdf to epub on my pc using convertio.co (not com!), downloaded the epub and opened it with calibre. Flawless!

Convertio.co also offers azw3 as ebook format. Would also be a good choice, I think, as long as the reader is a kindle.
