The Force is Strong With This One
Hi all, i found another documentary film, not about 9/11 again ; ) but it

seconded! I saw this a few weeks ago, and it's an excellent expose of the propaganda techniques we are continually subjected to. Once you see this, you start questioning everything. which is good :)

i saw this one a few days ago after putting it off for weeks.

usually i'm quite in control of my emotions, but seeing the ugly reality laid out like that i was overcome by feelings of anger/sadness/helplessness.

must see for anyone who thinks 'israel has a right to 'defend' itself'.

Re: Peace, Propaganda And the Promise Land

Thank you Andres TemeT,

I thought it was a decent film, quite educational in the following ways:

1. It shows the clear one-sidedness of the conflict, with Palestinians being very realistically portrayed as the true victims.

2. It shows how the RP campaign is waged by Israel. It Depicts the strategy point by point, then gives ample evidence to support their claims with media comparisons, actual footage, and also the filters in place that stop the message getting through to the American public.

3. The horrific violence showing the reality of the occupation really distances the viewer from being able to justify Israeli actions.

4. It reports on the various movements within Israel that are trying to help the Palestinians, something which I have never heard mention of before.

Now for some criticism:

1. The documentary compares the news reporting of American media outlets with those of the BBC. While I do see the clear difference between the two, and I can agree that the American news services are much more blatant in their propaganda than the BBC's, I must say that, when I listened carefully to the BBC's reports, I could still see/hear the bias, it's just more subtle.

2. I don't think the documentary goes far enough in its investigation, it says nothing about Israeli false flag operations, how Israel might in fact be the ones killing its own civilians in order to further escalate the occupation, and nor does it go far enough in making the link between post 911 policy in the United States and Israel.

The film only mentions that, after 911, the situation got worse, with Israel being able to mask their brutality under the guise of fighting the war on terror, but it doesn't put two and two together and realise that, as a matter of fact, their lockstep actions during and since 911 is a clear indication of Neo-con and Israeli collusion.

But then, the film would have to address the 911 "who dunnit" issue to make that connection, with “the dancing Israelis” and all, and it's still a far cry from going there...

So, to conclude, I think it's worth watching, but keep in mind that it still somewhat softens the blow as to how horrific the situation really is, not to mention how psychopathically evil those “ugly gentlemen” involved really are.

"Peace, Propaganda & The Promised Land" Another Must See Docum Film

Hi Robin Turner - would you have a link to the documentary being discussed, as the original post has only one line in the post and seems to have been chopped off mid sentence. I've never had a problem like this so I'm wondering if it was deliberate. Seeing as you viewed it recently it must be available somewhere.

Thanks

It's ok I found it on a Google search :)

Re: \

I just entered the title into Youtube... :P

Nice suggestion though.
