People in the States, Some Businesses Automatic Withdrawal Lacking Premission

A Disturbance in the Force
I ask you for your feeling about a US monopoly who attempts to withdraws amounts from the bank, lacking any permission to do so . Who does so even if the customer has no money in the bank. Again, the company attempts such, without any permission given. They have the debit card number from the bill being paid before. I think without permission being given this action-amounts to some kind of theft. What do you think?

On Sat. Sept 20th about 8:15 AM Mountain Time an automated voice from TV Services shocked the cheese and mac out of me. My heart dropped with these words. The recorded voice said “We are sorry to inform you automatic payment failed.” How often is this going to happen? WE NEVER GIVE THEM The OK TO WITHDRAW. We paid each month when there was funds in the account. But they had our debit card number. And because of this action by big business we pay repeated fees? We never gave that company permission to take fees out automatically. So how many others are they doing this too?

If these practices are becoming widespread, how many others are they going to cause charge up debit fees. And which lawyers will handle these cases? In the late 70's no lawyer handled Social Security Insurance disability cases. In the mid 1980 lawyers who formerly dealt with accident cases then filed Disability cases, who will handle companies attempting to remove funds for services whether or not the company even if they were not given permission? This could be the up and coming phrase it not nipped in the bud by attorneys. First this has to be seen as providing good income for the lawyers. Then they will act. Companies get away with illegal acts, unless lawyers bring them to call for their companies actions. I want to know if their are others being inflicted with this illegal act.

No wonder the bank manager say’s in stage speak, said about us, “These people, you can never satisfy.” She thought we CAUSED this overdraft. As I said, "How many other’s are being affected by this bad business habit?" This business has millions of costumers, If some our just forgetting to pay and has money in their accounts this could be one way for ________ TV, to get their payment. We who has no funds in their bank, and is slapped with fees, also we cannot pay other bills or if we are that poor, cannot buy food, We should unite.

Those in the USA write:
(Personal information edited for members' privacy by moderator) Those in other places post here what you think about perhaps illegal practices being used against the poor.

In Australia recently, a Class Action was started against certain lending institutions and banks which were charging allegedly illegal fees.
The Class Action may be the way to go, if you can interest enough people.
I believe this action is still before the courts, but you should be able to get something on it from your favourite Internet search engine.
