A local photographer, Chris Austin took this amazing shot during a hailstorm. I just saw it today online and thought it was just taken. So with the Democratic National Convention here next week, my immediate association was of viewing the invisible battle raging around us between STO light vs. STS darkness Hopefully the battle for Earth will turn out like this photo, with light dominating and marking the victory with a full-arc rainbow :)

I've saw a few of his shots recently and was impressed with his talent to capture the uptown horizon. As for the convention I'm not looking forward to it, because we live close to uptown. And that photo you posted makes me wonder if I should get a canoe or something. :)
