my cat:)

1 years old;)

Now that's cute.
One can almost feel and scent the dampness of the paws...aand sssstrrretchingg. (edit) and that soft bellyfur...killikallikolli

:-[ sorry, been catless for too long

edit: Two beautiful cats there, Annette!

This is Paisano (PaiPai) and Tiramisu. They are actually my daughter and son-in-law's cats, but I fostered Tiramisu for a while, so she is my favored one. PaiPai is also the cat in my avitar. He's a very curious cat (male) and actually tilts his head from side to side when he is investigating something he's interested in. Tiramisu is female and one of the most gentle of cats. She does not like to play rough at all. She's a total gurly gurl. My daughter took the pictures.

The names made for pretty cute 'alarm clocks', which is funny as it turns out, 'cause even now at two years old these guys are positively AMPED in the mornings! Intense games of pounce 'n chase that send kitchen rugs flying across the linoleum floor. They're tabby/siamese mixes, lots of fun, and great friends
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww jeez that pic was so cute, it made my heart skip a beat. and what cute names

Luna's nice. I always loved cats. Had a couple throughout my life.
She looks like she knows something. I guess that could be a 2.6 update or ever more :D ;) :P

Thanks for the compliment Nook, and yeah I think an update is just around the corner for her :P

Exactly !! And those colours ! heh great cats :)

I just wanted to say that I've been enjoying this thread immensely!! It sort of gives me some "renewed" strength in a sense and makes me smile. All the dogs and cats (and the guinea pig) are so adorable and so are the pets' antics that have been shared. It makes me hope that while we are busy working on ourselves that some of our efforts will carry over to our 2D companions and that they will be 3D candidates for the next go-round.

Thanks to everyone for sharing!

Just to add a few different 2D friends - here are the brave 2D entities who reside with me and help make my house a home (or is that a zoo?):

Oooooo Birds! How pretty! Can they talk? Birds are generally very smart and perceptive.

Heheh - yes, they talk - a lot - and they laugh when they act up enough to get me annoyed (well, they exactly mimic my laugh) . Nothing like being really annoyed and reprimanding a parrot and having it immediately laugh at you. They also laugh when I think something is funny, even if I haven't laughed out loud, which was a bit startling until I got used to it. They're all rescued birds - abused and/or abandoned - and they've all come a really long way since we met.

As far as intelligence level, Dr. Irene Pepperberg has done quite a bit of work on the cognitive ability of African Greys, and, more recently, other types of parrots - there is some controversy on her research methods among die-hard bird enthusiasts, but at the very least, she's highlighted that these creatures not only have complex emotional lives/memories, but have cognitive abilities that blast away previous estimates.

Every day is an adventure, to say the least...

Wow! Two African Greys! I lived with one for 6 years and that bird stretched my awareness of 2D intelligence more than any other creature I have known. She could recreate the sound of anything she heard and combine it with pretty much anything else she ever heard and often the results were either shockingly funny or shockingly true. I was always being stretched toward a newer, greater appreciation for the intelligence of 2D throughout the time we had her. It once took me a month to figure out she was combining the squeak of one of the stairs with a part of the answering machine beep, a part of the answering machine message voice and a word she knew. Good on you for giving these birds a chance. They are amazingly smart and live long lives.

Anart-those are awesome 2D friends! I remember you having Jazz's pic as an avatar long a go. Wow :wow: that's crazy that they laugh when you're thinking something is funny! Yoda's face made me smile  and Rip Ari ^^

Hmmm, this makes me think telepathic. Ever tried thinking or visualizing something they like or recognize to see if they mention it??

Nice 2D family you have there! Dr. Pepperberg's site was interesting too. Thanks!

Anart,
I have had a chance to live acouple of days in a hotel in Mali where they had such parrots. I took long times observing them, it must be great indeed to share life with them. Some Gekos also laugh, ponctuating the daily life.
Respect

I have 7 babies, 4 of them have fur.. Here are pictures of 3 of them :P
