Please help me sort my diet out!

Hi!

I'm not still gluten free, but from what I was calculating, I'm around +/-100g to 150g UH per/day.
I'm not much into bread and stuff but I have need for sweet so this is where I get this 100g. Luckily, I need cookie or two to satisfy me, but still I'd like to get rid of all....

Currently my diet is like:
- wake up - banana, or apple if I'm out of bananas
- after one hour - some croissant, and when I'm at home I eat eggs and/or some salami - need some advice for breakfast at work so I can throw away this croissant
- lunch: meat and vegetables
- here it comes - cookie or two - ok, this is my issue to solve, suggestions?
- supper: meat/eggs/vegetables....
- cookie crises - also need advice.....

The problem is with my blood pressure that is low, always around 95/60 and I'm always dizzy - especially in the summer.
And I'm underweight; according to BMI calculations, I'm 5kg below the bottom normal line; I'm 164 and have 45kg so I'd have to gain at least 5kg to the normal lower limit; 7kg would be ideal.

So I'm interested in these fat bombs; I'm on the work all day and after with my kids and I'm always hungry but when I start to eat, after a bite or two my stomach just closes.
I've red the Fat bomb post and perhaps somebody could you give me some advice for a quick snacks at work since I have to have (and I've figured it works for me) a lot of small meals during the day?

Thank you!

Kind regards,
Marija

My first priority would be to stop eating gluten - completely! Without stopping to eat gluten, you probably won't be able to get rid of sugar cravings.

In terms of snacks - fat bomb is perfect. Just put it in little glasses that you can carry around with you to work. Or bone broth (or both :D). You need to up your fat intake. You still might loose some weight in the first week or so, but this should change pretty quickly.

So my suggestion for a meal plan would be:
- Breakfast: Bacon and eggs (if you tolerate them - else bacon only)
- Snack: Fat bomb or bone broth
- Lunch: Meat and vegetables (or some lettuce salad)
- Snack: Fat bomb or bone broth
- Dinner: Meat/ eggs/ vegetables with butter or fat drippings

Blood pressure might still be low at the start - just increase your salt intake massively. Drink a glass of water with as much salt as you can tolerate in the morning, and before every meal if needed. I always put salt into my drinking water ...

You will find, that if you can manage to do this for a week or two, your sugar cravings will slowly go away.

Hope this helps!

Hi Mari, I'd also like to add that it's important to have knowledge about this diet and how to make dietary changes as best as possible. It's important, because this way you'll be more aware of certain changes your body might go through, and how to adjust the diet if needed. For example, for some people a slower approach would be better. If you haven't read anything on the keto or paleo diet yet, you may want to consider these two books:

Keto-Adapted: Your Guide to Accelerated Weight Loss and Healthy Healing - Maria Emmerich
Primal Body, Primal Mind - Nora T. Gedgaudas

You can find the recommended book list here: https://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,33092.0.html

Hi,

thank you for your answers! :)

Yes, I've been reading on paleo and keto diet, on this forum and more. Thank you!

:)

I wouldn't recommend having fat-bombs when not being Keto. If you still have a lot of carbs and maybe gluten, the fat-bomb could do more harm than good.

I know what you are talking about, cutting out sugar was also the hardest thing for me. Since one is addicted it's best to go cold turkey. No more sugar - at all! Don't keep anything sweet in the house in the beginning, too. Once you amp up the fat, the withdrawal recedes, and once you haven't eaten it in a while, it tastes disgustingly sweet.

Good luck! M.T.
