Hi everyone! Today a friend send me a link to the Pokemon songs but re-orchestrated, I have to be honest, I cried a little after listening to some. I was and I'm a huge Pokemon fan and remember all the songs with happiness and joy. Here are the links to some of my favourites.

Brings back memories. Did you tear up cuz the orchestration is beautiful, the nostalgia, or something else? I haven't played since red and blue 11 yrs ago, but it was fun at the time!

Nostalgia! I use to play with my cousins and friends! And we used to trade Pokemons and put nick names on them, good times :) ...
Last time I played was 1 year ago, the new Pokemon version, apparently there are over 500 Pokemon now, I used to remember all the 150 original ones but these days count it's too much!! :cool2:
 
I've to admid that I collected Pokemon Cards as a kid , I had almost all sparkling cards including the dark glurak :P
 
My oldest son played Pokeman & had many cards.. Not sure if he still has them.


Which brought me to the following thoughts:
Since he & his wife have made me a grandparent...


I know I am getting older when I have the opportunity to enjoy my grandchildren

&

I know I am getting older when people my sons' age, are "waxing nostalgic".

I played pokemon and the cards too. Whenever I listen to video game music I get the nostalgic feeling. I doubt it would affect me as much if I hadn't known the song already. The most addicting song that gets stuck in my head is the one when you go into the place where you put the pokemon and heal them, and that annoying 6 beeps for each pokeball and the ding ding sound while they heal :P.

Final Fantasy 7 music really gets me because that was such an emotional game. I think that one actually has good music with no nostalgia feeling.

The music brings back a lot of memories to me as well

But has anyone noticed the correlations of the Pokemon games where you have to subdue and capture these creatures and then train them to get stronger (often to the point of exhaustion) so you can battle against other trainers to see who is a "better trainer" and gain notoriety, popularity etc. as well as running breeding experiments with different Pokemon to see which attribute combinations you can get?

Omg do you still have your cards? I do, I've kept all my trading cards, from Pokemon to YugiOh to Magic cards, JESUS I was such a nerd :) You know, I follow Charizard on twitter! LOL
