Pollutants found in 93% of Lettuce and Milk in US

not sure where i learned it from, my father or grandfather. Rubber breaks down in standing water, usually warm water, that creates bad pollution we tend to ingest. Oils and solvents in the water make that happen faster. Where as sun light evaporates the rubber the bad stuff slowly released into the air.

I learned that back in the 70's. I searched around a little on the net, everyone argues this way or that. In the end can it be worse than all the things store bought produce is saturated with?
