I am surprised because I don't have what you see (except small text with advertising that's non obtrusive but nothing like what you said). I use Opera.

I think it's related to your browser and the way their advertising tool chose the topics to be shown I guess.
Maybe it's your location as well (from their faq guide : We can geo-target your banner campaign by country. This way, for example, you can order a package to receive traffic only from the US or only from Western Europe. Our geo-targetting technology is 98% accurate.)

If someone else has the same problem, I'll look into another free hosting with thumbnails but I am wondering if you might still get the same kind of ad anyway.
If you know the same kind of service but safe for everyone I'll edit the post.

Thanks for checking. I opened the "devil in a jar" pic today, and the links across the top were just text. I don't understand why the microscope one provoke a different, uh, theme? I'm just worried about icky stuff ending up on my computer. Time for some cache clearing. Sorry, I don't know much about image hosting service services.

There's no text at all, just thumbnail links. I use firefox as a browser. The geographic area is North America.

Yesterday, after reading Herondancer's post, I checked by clicking on the Ponerology one. Purely to verify, of course... I also got that banner Herondancer did. Whoa, they were really "interacting" there! Today, I just get the text. They must have gotten some complaints.

That's the problem with free uploading sites, their ad tracking. I'd prefer to host them somewhere safe for sure.

I am really sorry there was some explicit advertising because like I said I did never ever saw any and I used their site before.
 
Tigersoap, I thought about another good way to represent psychopathy and come to think about chameleon, how they are able to blend in and get their pray. The way it is almost immobile not to spend any energy. Also its a lizard.

I have to ponder about this, maybe something will pop-up in my head after a while.
Don't hesitate to play around with the idea yourself, some new associations might spark new ideas !
