I've acquired 24 KG of 'technical grade' potassium hydroxide from my work. It can be used to make soap or biodiesel and given the quantity that they were just going to throw out I figured I'd see if anyone in the NYC area wanted some or could use it. I remember there being at least one forum member who made her own soaps...

It comes in several 3kg plastic containers, and retails for about $150 per. I'll likely take it home and store it regardless.
Edit Edit: Actually nevermind, now that I've told my lab manager that i'll take it she's decided that it's too risky in case some of it 'falls into the wrong hands' and somehow that liability could 'le sigh.
