The Living Force
Hey Endymion,
I would like to tell you what I think of that website that you recommended,
I think it was amazing in some parts, atleast it brought something rather invaluable to the light of day, ' a sort of inner dynamic' at play. I dont see the inner beloved as the soul or essence.
I think the author however, made some rather dangerously wrong interpretations and his whole new 'model' of his inner beloved and there relationship was wrong. I think what made it 'wrong' is that by the end his 'ego' had managed to take control of everything. A few 'red flags' were going up all over the place whilst I was reading it.
Firstly, towards the end, it seemed to have been over thrown by the whole love and light thing to such an extent that red flags were going up all over the place. Secondly, he made it all about himself, saying stuff like the inner beloved loved him no matter how abusive he was etc etc, saying stuff about how devoted she was. Comparing her to a little girl, etc. All WRONG in my opinion.
I think his inner beloved is still locked up in a prison somewhere and what he thinks is his inner beloved is something else that has hijacked that image.
My impression of what the inner beloved is, is the relationship between the conscious and unconscious mind or rather subconscious mind. I think the marriage or sacred marriage is the union between the 2, which to me can only happen when the conscious mind through lessons and gradual transformation starts to merge with the unconscious mind. That dark part of your mind where fears, spirits of trauma etc are hiding away. I think during dreaming, an inevitable 'collision' happens and maybe an 'adventure' begins. Where the conscious, or ego self is confronted by other parts of the 'greater being.' Maybe an adventure in 'mutual understanding' or 'mutual healing' or 'mutual reconcilliation.'
I dont see where love comes into this as an emotion.
I might be wrong but I definately had 'red flags' going up but nonetheless, the author I think stumbled onto something important.
