In declarations to RTP (Portuguese Radio Television), Ana Jorge asserted that “the fact that the pregnant woman was vaccinated, at 34 weeks of pregnancy, before the occurrence of the fetus death 'in utero' was a coincidence in time”.
The ministry of health hopes that the autopsy can confirm that there isn't any type cause-effect.
“We are confident. Including, today in the morning the obstetrics that work more in this area said that there isn't a causal relation”, said Ana Jorge. “There is no reference in the whole world, in vaccinated pregnant women, that a situation like this has occurred.

Autopsy results of the baby should be known this week

The mother of the baby had been vaccinated in the 10th of November against the H1N1 virus, being a little while later hospitalized with suspects that the baby could be dead, which came to be verified this Sunday, the 15th .
A source from the health ministry said that “the autopsy will be made in the Egas Moniz hospital as fast as possible”.
“The results take a few days after the realization of the autopsy”[...] the same source added.
Although not establishing a relation between the vaccination and the death of the baby, the hospital board ordained the opening of an investigation.

The pregnant woman, of 34 weeks, lost her baby scarce days after being vaccinated against the A flu, facts that the family members suspect are linked.
Interviewed by Agência Lusa, the 31 year women brother in law explained that after being vaccinated Wednesday the pregnant woman started to complain about pains in the body and a general malaise, noting that the baby would move more than normal or not move at all.
Saturday morning she went to Portalegre health center, where the doctor that assisted her verified that the fetus heartbeat was weak, but it was there, and advised her to return home and come back in the next day to check how things were going”, the same family member explained.
The pregnant woman would go to Portalegre hospital by noon, knowing then that the fetus's heart had stooped.
“We cannot say it was the vaccine, even because previously a episode where the heart beat of the baby was accelerated occurred. The reality is that from there on (the vaccination) a series of reactions occurred”, the same family member added.

I will be paying attention to see what the results of the autopsy of the baby are, but if something is found in relation to the vaccine it probably won't come out, or there will be a lot of, "this and that cannot be related to the vaccine because there isn't enough evidence", and so forth...
It must be one of the most horrible things for a human, in this case women, to give "birth" to a baby that is dead.

Yes, I know the pain of losing a baby soon after birth, but I can't even imagine giving birth to an already dead baby. :(

I also am of the same line of thinking that it probably will not come out if it WAS related to the vaccine. Or, as you suggested, someone will claim lack of evidence or some other such thing.

Reminds me of how lucky I am to have access to a lot of this information about the dangers of so many things that are purported to be better for our health (or at the very least neutral), but end up having the opposite effect.
