The first thing that comes to mind is that you have automatic translation on.
See up next to the URL if it is on, it looks like this, left to the star.






If it is on (looks more grey in color then black and white, like in the picture below), turn it off.

@loreta : I notice on different web navigators, on computers and "smart"phones, that they increasingly propose, and sometimes impose, the automatic translation of foreign languages, even if I don't need it (to read English, for instance).
