Problems with the SOTT website ...

Hi all,

In the last few weeks I have experienced multiple problems with the SOTT/ cassiopaea website. I would be keen to know if the problem is on my computer's side, or if these problems are more systemic. The problems I encountered are:
- Unable to download/ stream the podcasts (Dolan/ underground bases etc.)
- Unable to access the QF School website

If these particular websites/ items are down for a reason, I'd appreciate to know, so that I can try stopping, else I will have to look further into the setup of my Firefox browser.

Thanks!

Fwiw, I could not access the SOTT site yesterday am, despite repeated tries. This seems to happen periodically. What I've noticed on these occasions is that I seem to 'lose' my Internet connection for the SOTT site, although clicking on any other site works fine. Then I was whisked out to the big wide world, and when I returned later in the evening, the access worked fine. If it's only for a few hours, instead of days, I don't worry about it now. Perhaps I should.

Yes, it is really getting tiresome to us, too. Sometimes we don't even get to bed because we are trying to find out what is going on, where the attack is coming from, and how to fix it.

Yes, we had some hacking problems before the Eric Pepin suit, but it has really increased since then. I guess money can buy about anything.

Thanks for your feedback, bedower & Laura!

Laura: So the whole QFG School has not been taken off-line, but it's a technical problem, right?

I've also had LOTS of glitches with my ADSL conncetion recently, really frustrating drop-outs, which I cannot remeber happening a year ago. I also wonder, if there is not a common thread in that, so as to favour "innocent" a.k.a. commercial website in the backbones ... and the "irritable" ones get pushed to the edges of bandwidth. Mayb just the start of a wider internet censorship ..? Sometimes I wonder, if we shouldn't start to use encrypted traffic between relevant sites, although not sure if the encryption *really* is uncrackable ...
