Hello to all,
yesterday I was invited to one of my work partnair in BF who happen to be a good serious, clever, non-corrupted man. Like in most of the houses, the TV was on and I could check how far the ponerization process had gone in that country (like it's neighbours). After the local version of the "wheel of fortune" (so disgusting when you see the misery, dirt, all around!) there was a political debate with a professor of biology who happens to have been a local minister of agriculture and who is now the representant of Monsanto as president of "probiotech". This association is lobbying actively for the introduction of GMO crop in the country, with some success because trials are already undergone with BT coton 'seeds of destruction" in the countryside and they are about to start the same thing with niébé (a local bean) . He was defending GMO crops and Monsanto without any single scientific data, claiming that the results showed that they yield three times more with GMO (which is totally untrue, but the interviewer had no credential to check his lies).
So the guy was doing his narcissic show when things became really interesting (amazing!). First when asked about corruption, he just answered that these practices had been taught by France, and that it was a common thing in this country, most election having been subjet to fraud and manipulation (especially in Paris and he gave informed details).
Then the interviewer asked him about Sarkosy's warning the West African countries after the huge financial Chinese investments in Africa (which have been noticed by the SOTT excellent, like always, economical analysis.)
His answer was almost word by word like this:"If a man teach his girlfriend to be a prostitute, how come can he tell her that she should not prostitute with someone in particular?"
It is so sad that all the sufferers here, the people are associated with "whores"...So much good people suffering...
Sarkosy is dispised in West Africa, even by the elite, that is crystal clear.
Anyway our local psychopath just finished his intervention praising the USA as the ultimate exemple for the country and promised, to end the show, that one day Burkina Faso would be the "Swiss" of West Africa... :O :O
Sankara must roll in his grave!... :(
Like one Malian officer of the penitenciary administration told me two weeks ago: "the situation has become so ugly that the only good outcome would be a cataclysmic event".
After that I could see the new evangelist channel in the country. That was to much and fortunately family friends arrived to save us for that was far to much...
