Psychopath wants to be "friends" on Facebook

So, you know he's a mutual friend of both of you. Does that narrow it down? He sounds to me like someone looking for attention - we get the type on the forum from time to time and they're basically just trolls looking for a reaction.

Not sure, since I don't know if Sue and I are friends on facebook. Since Sue didn't accept, she won't appear as a mutual friend of Saiko Guy although we may be mutual friends with Saiko's "real" profile. From what I can see, it says that Saiko Guy and I are mutual friends with another male person (who I think is a member here on the forum). Maybe if that person is a member here and reads this he can tell us more? The reason I think he may be a member of the forum is because we have 135 or so mutual friends, many of whom I know to be members of the forum. I hope that makes sense!

Yes, my point was that whoever this guy is, he's obviously mutual friends with you and Sue (under his real name) so that might be a clue to his real identity. I don't really think it's worth the time already put into it, though - I just think the guy is bored and playing games and should be ignored.

I read the most outrageous story of a couple who "defriended" a woman on facebook, and the father of the kilted woman killed them  (read the story here _http://news.yahoo.com/facebook-defriending-led-double-murder-police-014442236.html)... Then i saw how other people were killed because others didnt "like" their posts. I'd say dont add anyone you consider odd or suspicious. The world is filled with psychopaths, so it's best to just be extra aware of who you add.

Just block the guy. Warn others about him on your wall. If everybody blocks him, the game won't be so fun anymore.

WOW!
This whole thread is something to be considered carefully. He/she seems to use tirgger words and I 'personally' did not get a good 'vibe' from the tone of his/her profile.

But, I'm not saying anything NEW, right?

Yeah, just reading what psycho guy wrote gave me an icky feeling.

Okay, I've posted a warning on facebook. It does indeed seem like an attention seeking game to him. On his wall he goes on about how he's an "admiration junky" so I guess the best treatment for that is just to ignore...

I took the comment where he said "if you're wondering whether to accept it, well, you already did" to mean that I was already friends with this person and this was a separate account that they set up because they didn't feel like they could post about certain things on their other account. Either way, it made me uneasy and I denied the request.

IF what he says is true as it can well be one of the oldest tricks in the book so to make you thinking something like: "Well, if I'm already friends with him anyway, perhaps I'd better find out who he is"; at which point you start wasting your time and energy. :)

I agree that this guy is just looking for attention and we should just ignore him. I went back into FB and blocked him. I do find it interesting though that Don Genaro and I are the only ones so far who have received friend requests (that we know of).
