Psywar - The real battlefield is in your mind

The Force is Strong With This One
Just watched and this is a very good account of "management perception", manufacturing consent and public opinion, ect.

As one user said
A superb account of how we're manipulated from birth to death.

Hi sludgeco. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I found interesting the idea that Western societies need the most devious and sophisticated techniques to create and manage people's perceptions.

Did you notice how the background music, speech tones, volumes and pacing, images, image transitions, sound effects and captions all worked together in the video to create and manage your own perceptions for this particular presentation? Or did they?

Not suggesting that's bad or anything. Some communication techniques must be used in order to get any message across, but one can practice innoculating oneself against dissociation and trance-based influences by refusing to become so absorbed in the message that the medium becomes transparent. I don't know if you knew that.

Thanks for sharing. :)

I totally understand what you are saying, I didn't find the movie too flashy though. Lots of video clips like you said, but I didn't find the imagery too harsh. Have you seen the documentary on psychopathy Fishhead? That one I felt was a little over the top on imagery.

No. For me, most video presentations take an agonizingly long time to build a case and make the point. If everyone recommends it, though, I'll put it on my list.

i can really recommend "psywar" as well as "human resources" - also by metanoia.

also - they made a new one that isn't on their site yet - also very good.
just do a search for "lifting the veil" and "metanoia".

Took the time to watch 'psywar' - thanks for the recommendation.

"Propagating The Faith", the PR firms being rarely effective unless operating in the dark; the lesson from Rockefeller's time. "The system is maintained by giving them [us] little bits."

The part describing Ivy Lee working with IG Farben, likely with side meetings with Goebbels; the art of working both sides of the fence. And then the next PR man, Edward Bernays, Sigmund Freud's nephew. What these firm's have done on behalf of others is part of the ponerolgy, the pathocracy that plagues humans and it has been a very old schtick.

Just watched lifting the veil and human resources and they were both very informational. Human resources was probably the best one, but all of these docs are very good material.

I meant to say that it was my favorite and not "the best" :halo:
