Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Oh, fully understood that he (US) cannot do much to end it because is more profitable selling weapons, I guess. On the other hand Russian citizens know very well what this is about better than him and, will endure what might comes.
Apparently he just got the memo that any efforts to make this a negotiation situation are doomed to be sabotaged, so he seems to be taking the position of "You won't let me stop it? then I won't finance it at least, good luck on your war"

He is so involved that any attempt to appear distant only serves his base. Would MAGA swallow it?
Is he really distant by claiming that Ukraine can win and that he will send all the weapons they need (paid for by the Europeans)?

What he usually does are business negotiation tactics, especially putting on pressure on the other side (Russia) to get a better or in this case quicker deal.

He tries though, can someone tell him that it is and has been "his" war since he became the president of US that takes decisions involving NATO? I was thinking in what Alejo wrote above referring to Trump's "good luck on your war"

Yes, that is what he does, since he could not get from Russia what he expected, He is monetizing it at the expense of Europeans. I'm not sure if it was quick, given that he spent many months trying to reach agreements with Russia to end the war. And now he's done a complete U-turn so that the war has no end date.

Trump didn't actually say that, though he may have implied it by saying "In any event, I wish both Countries well."

I'm not sure if it was quick, given that he spent many months trying to reach agreements with Russia to end the war.
I said that Trump probably wants to pressure Russia into a deal to end the war sooner or more quickly. I did not say that anything Trump did was quick.

When I first read his post I thought he was being dumb. Then, that he was playing dumb in order to tell Europe: "Go get them tiger! I'll watch and sell you weapons".

I think so. Even with the faulty intelligence being fed to him by neocons, I think it unlikely that Trump is so stupid or credulous as to be unaware of the basic fact that Russia is advancing. Slowly or quickly, doesn't matter. Inevitably is the word. The problem is that the matter of the costs incurred in terms of men and machines is harder to determine or demonstrate accurately. He really could believe that Russia's losses are unsustainable.

Whatever he believes, it looks on the surface like he supports the whole division of labour strategy, as part of 'strategic sequencing' ie. shifting attention to other priorities like Asia. Mainly out of necessity due to production shortages, with the option to return focus to Russia when conditions are more favourable. Allow the Europeans to maintain the current state of conflict at their own expense. This is an obvious Neocon/Deep State strategy and it wouldn't surprise or fool Russia in any way, they will expect it and have prepared accordingly.

It's likely Trump doesn't actually want any of this and is smart enough to see that Europe stands no chance without the US directly financing and assisting. So it may bring a sort of conclusion to things as Russia achieves its objectives, and keeps everyone off Trump's back for a while longer. Otherwise, he's functionally no different than Biden, even if he has no desire to continue the conflict. The forces around him leave no other option.

Trump greenlights the Ukraine conflict to never end.
[...]
The US president also claimed that Russia is “in big economic trouble” over the conflict, and it is “time for Ukraine to act.” He did not announce new financial or military aid packages for Kiev, however, stating instead that the US will continue to “supply weapons to NATO” for the bloc to use them as it sees fit.

Amerika plays tough but only from a distance with a worthy opponent. A War into Russia with boots on the ground would be its suicide , as it has been for Ukraine. Nato has been defeated there four times already and its propagandist and humiliated elites are also thieves.
On the other hand a ghoulish strike on Venezuela is more to its liking and capabilities. Venezuela's riches are a tasty dish difficult to say no to and Amerika lies and is in deep economical trouble and Temptation is a matter of timing. Perhaps that is Why a worthy and deadly Armada is building and concentrating in the Caribbean with more added every day. Our world is already mad enough to envision such a strike . Even then it will be a disastrous undertaking like hitting a hornets nest. But perhaps that is the whole point.

Apparently he just got the memo that any efforts to make this a negotiation situation are doomed to be sabotaged, so
I think he uses gaslighting as a language commonly used in Europe, just in order to make himself understood, with subtlety.
Then he sees what is coming and does what he has to do... ;-) to his advantage.
(And... Mr Vlad P might have been informed about this and they are having fun together (I hope)

A recent UN vote shows which countries are still fully supporting Ukraine - or in other words countries that are fully under control of the globalist faction:

Only 36 countries back Ukraine in key UN vote

A joint statement by Ukraine and the EU condemning Russia has received the backing of only 36 out of the 193 UN member states. The US notably abstained.

Presented by EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga at the UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, the document describes Russia’s actions vis-a-vis Ukraine as a “blatant violation of the UN Charter.” It also calls on the global community to “maximize pressure” on Moscow, and to support Ukraine’s “territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.”

The joint statement was endorsed by the 26 EU member states, with the exception of Hungary, and also endorsed by Albania, Andorra, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, and the UK.

Outside of Europe, it is only Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
