Oh yesssss, "One picture is worth a thousand words"?
NOT! The devil is in the details...

Gotta laugh, but unfortunately... maybe not. Some people
are too quick to jump on the bandwagon without so much
as to being discerning and objective... we need data, and
LOTS of it.

Thanks, Joe!

Yes, that is actually a 3D-rendered image and not a real person. It was created using 3DS Max and ZBrush. Click here for a full-sized version.

This is a rendering of SongHyeKyo, the Korean actress. I did this one as a challange from my friends, and also because she is my favourite actress. So, making the head accurate was the most important one for me (..)

Wow, GRiM

I use 3dsmax for Architectural, but this is just sublime. Which renderer did you use?
Skin tones are great. The chin sells it
Hair and Fur or something else for those lovely locks?

No wonder she's you favorite Actress :)

I didn't model/render it, I just wanted to add a image that show, for those who don't keep up to date about computer-graphics, what can be done if you know what your somewhat good at it :)

Lifelike animation heralds new era for computer games

Creepy lifelike if you ask me :|

(to the video in the article)

This sums it up:

"Emily - the woman in the above animation - was produced using a new modelling technology that enables the most minute details of a facial expression to be captured and recreated.
She is considered to be one of the first animations to have overleapt a long-standing barrier known as 'uncanny valley' - which refers to the perception that animation looks less realistic as it approaches human likeness. "

Wow! That's really impressive! Bewolf was pretty good, but you could tell they were not real people. Emily is SO lifelike  Probably done on Maya, i suppose.

Thanks for sharing Grim!

Looks pretty close but there are still very weird facial mouvment that should warn us.

Now the question in my mind is, if they show us that, what do they plan to show us next ?
Which president or star is already a CGI that we don't know about :D ?

Not only that. Now it will be easy to show "video" footage of a mad terrorist blowing up something without having to find doubles. They can even show a regular citizen as doing anything they want, because they will have "video" evidence to prove it.

Yikes! This is not a good thing. However, they are showing it to the public so that we can be prepared. You would think that the PTB would keep such things secret if this is what they were going to be using them for. But then we should remember that psychopaths just love to brag about their accomplishments.

I'm not saying that the person/s that developed this is/are psychopathic, just that those who will use it for other purposes are.

Another question that can come to mind is : "if they show us that, what are they already able to do in this field ?"

This question reminds me of a session :

Q: (T) Of course. Most people would say that 'cutting edge'
science is 25 years ahead of what we see, and I say it is more
like a hundred years, and I am even off? Cutting edge science
on this planet is more like 3 or 4 hundred years ahead?
A: More like 30 to 40,000 years "ahead!"
Q: (L) Is that because of 4th density influence and
information?
A: Yes.
Q: (T) 30 to 40 thousand years? Let me get that number
right...
A: Yes, at least.

It's hard enough to 'see' through mine own eyes. Working on abilities to trust mine own senses. Now we have to analyze a video or a picture if is a true representation, is it really real.?.?.? :/ Just me here, but seems to be more proof rolling in all the time that life here on this BBM is just a Grand Illusion (reminds me of the song by STYX). Just wait for the big show when BeeGeeBus comes back outta the sky, or motherships...
