Real time chat?

Just wondering if anyone else has had the urge to do a realtime chat in Cassiopaea?

You know, there are just some days when having that immediacy of another soul to connect with is a good recharge...

Heck I could even offer some technical help (good JavaScript/Python skills)...

Hi Aaron,

Private contact between members is discouraged in this forum, and for good reason. I think real time chats fall into that category too.

If you want to look deeper, it may be a good idea to think about why you want "a good recharge". Recharge with what, and from where?

I have sometimes considered it when I've had questions or thoughts that are not big or important enough to post a thread about, but that's probably a sign that they are not really worth networking about and it would be better to just contemplate them myself.

I think if we started having discussions in a chat app as well, things would be missed by people. The good thing about a forum is that all discussions can be re-read at a later date, and read/added to later on by people who weren't present for the initial discussion.

Plus you have the problem of trolling, disagreements between those of us who haven't fully developed our external considering etc.
