Hi all,

"I" realized that i had left significant pieces of my realizations out from what i posted in psyches thread entitled The Eros Theme. That, coupled with my ignorance of how to edit a post, :), necessitates me posting another one. "I" also felt, that posting again in psyche's thread, would be a transgression of the rules of hospitality that we have learned about in the Odyssey thread, because i would be hijacking it.

Know, i will start by referring back to my previous post. Remember the region i analogized as the ground?, i realized that it is a function, and how ludicrous it is for me to identify with it, :), i.e. thinking that i am it.

The question as to the nature of thoughts entered my mind also. Allow me to express my subsequent realizations in regards to this.

Remember, you are this orb existence, that is distinct from all else; and remember also, that i literally saw that the region i analogized as the ground was distinct in all respects from me

Know a couple of years back, when i was taking a philosophy class in college, and existential questions, etc, were a thinking in me more than usual, it dawned on me that, definition = meaning, by that i mean that, if one does not know or have, the definition of a thing clearly, anything pertaining to that something is meaningless, and thus any structures built on undefined tenets, philosophies, etc, are built on foundations more unsound than sand, and are doomed to collapse epically, with the resulting catastrophe being proportional to how large a structure i.e. how many people subscribe to it, and its various derivatives or offshoots, etc, it was/has.

i found that the most efficient way to get to a definition of a thing, is to look at what it does, and work from there.

So, what is thinking?

Thinking, is a CHOICE, that you, as the orb existence, make, to give some of your energies to a particular idea or thing, in order to ascertain the truth or should i say the reality of the idea or thing in its clearest and simplest state. Thinking will usually start out very fuzzy, and murky, but the choice of thinking, and thus the act of thinking, or to BE, is the clearing away, or the fine tuning of your perception of the idea or thing. When visualizing it, thinking is actually a movement, a movement away from one thing, and towards another (Thought Centers anyone :)).

This brings to mind the importance the C's, and we here on the forum, put on CRITICAL THINKING; and also the ideas of the Trivium and Quadrivium method of education that is stressed by Jan Irving and others. Simply put, the Trivium and Quadrivium method of education is a SYSTEMATIC method that teaches people how to think, not what to think, and thus, allows one to become an autodidact. The three constituents that make up the Trivium are General Grammar or Knowledge, Logic or Understanding, and Argumentation also called Rhetoric, and can also be seen as Wisdom. The four parts of the Quadrivium are Mathematics which is used in its ancient meaning of the term, which means Science, Geometry, which deals with numbers in space, Music, which deals with numbers in time, and Astronomy, which deals with numbers in both space and time. Sorry to digress, but i felt it was important to give a quick summation before we continue. Its interesting that the Trivium and Quadrivium used to be taught, but the elites saw that a people educated in such a system, which is a very ancient system coming from the Greeks and other ancient cultures, were not very amendable to control, because, they were empowered and selfgoverned and could SEE B.S. for what it was. Through a slow and systematic process, they were able to remove it from the public education system of the world, and thus, create the conditions which allowed the world we live in today to manifest.

It is also interesting, that in the Trivium which is the core of the method of the Trivium and Quadrivium, General grammar or knowledge is the first subject that is taught, and it is all about defenitions. It also is interesting that Socrates was all about definitions, he said something like, you can anything about a given thing unless you know what the thing IS.

But, enough digression.

So, What are thoughts? Keeping in mind that you are this orb existence, that is different in every way from all else, and, is even composed of a different substance.

Thoughts and ideas are actually the pieces of other existences like yourself, which are created for a particular purpose by that existence; and so thinking, which can only be done CONSCIOUSLY, is actually the "eating", of that specific piece of existence, that created the thought or idea. This is very interesting especially in regards to the August 20th, 2011 session that was recently posted, and also this, from Gurdjieff, namely that "Understanding can only result through the conscious verification of knowledge".

The session refered to is this specifically.

(Psyche) We were checking some statistics and we realized that full siblings of schizophrenics are nine times more likely than the general population to have schizophrenia, and four times more likely to have bipolar disorder. A: Oh indeed! However this requires explanation. First of all, the genetics that are associated with schizophrenia can be either a doorway or a barrier. Second, the manifestation of schizophrenia can take non-ordinary pathways. That is to say that diet can activate the pathway without the concomitant benefits.

Q: (Burma) I think that they're saying that schizophrenia could essentially be a way to be open to seeing other aspects of reality but diet can make it so it basically just makes you crazy without actually seeing anything.

A: Primitive societies that eat according to the normal diet for human beings do not have "schizophrenics", but they do have shamans who can "see".

Q: (Perceval) So a schizophrenic on animal fat is a shaman. (L) Well, wait a minute. There's something real subtle here. What I think you're saying is that when these genetic pathways are activated through wrong diet, it screws up the shamanic capacity?

A: Yes.

Q: (L) So, schizophrenia as we understand it or have witnessed it is a screw-up of something that could or might manifest in a completely different way on a different diet? Is that it?

A: Yes

Q: (L) And that's what you meant by not only a doorway, but also a barrier because the person who is on the wrong diet and has schizophrenia is barred from being able to be a bridge between the worlds. They kind of get lost. They're barred from having a normal life, and they're also barred from coming back from their delusions or whatever they're seeing even if they're not delusions. Maybe they’re seeing, but they're unable to help or do anything.

Okay. Now, you made a remark about the diet that is normal for the human being. And I know {name redacted} and a lot of people - not just {name redacted}, but a lot of people - have a problem with a diet that requires you to consume the flesh of other creatures. And I know that we've read what Lierre Keith has written about it, and it's a very moving statement about life and earth and so on and so forth. But I'd like to know if there's something a little more esoteric that we could understand about this? I mean, I don't understand why and how a person can achieve spiritual growth, which is what you seem to be implying throughout all of this stuff that we've been learning, from eating meat. How many other groups have taken a vegetarian pathway and said that this is... I mean, aside from the fact that we now know that agriculture and vegetables and the owning of the land is pure STS destruction... What about fruit? Well of course they didn't have fruit then. Like everybody, I'm having a little problem with this. So can you help me out here?

A: You know the saying: Only through the shedding of blood is there remission of sins?

Q: (L) Yes.

A: And what about: Take eat, this is my body?

Q: (L) Yes.

A: And: Take, drink, this is my blood?

Q: (L) Yes. (Burma) So it sounds like they're saying that there's a hidden thing in the whole resurrection or salvation by the blood thing. That agriculture is evil and we could return by going on an animal-based diet?

A: No not exactly. When humankind "fell" into gross matter, a way was needed to return. This way simply is a manifestation of the natural laws. Consciousness must "eat" also. This is a natural function of the life giving nature of the environment in balance. The Earth is the Great Mother who gives her body, literally, in the form of creatures with a certain level of consciousness for the sustenance of her children of the cosmos. This is the original meaning of those sayings.

Q: (L) So, eating flesh also means eating consciousness which accumulates, I'm assuming is what is being implied here, or what feeds our consciousness so that it grows in step with our bodies? Is that close?

A: Close enough.

Q: (Ailen) And when you eat veggies you're basically eating a much lower level of consciousness. (L) Not only that, but in a sense you're rejecting the gift and you're not feeding consciousness. And that means that all eating of meat should be a sacrament.

A: Yes

Understanding is the transforming or should i say, the assimilating through eating, and subsequently digestion, of raw knowledge, data, and facts, into one's very BEING. The resulting effect "being" (pun intended :D), that one's level of BEING increases.

With these definitions in hand, i was able to construct a hypothetical framework which explains alot, well at least to me it does, and i shall venture my hypothesis as well so, lock and load your metaphoric firearms :D, because it is open season on this hypothesis, and please if you see a weakness, do not hesitate to shoot, or ask a question if you need clarification.

Lets go back to the orb form existence, with all that i have just said, and also bring with you the concept of thought centers. So, you as this orb form of existence, are naturally configured, and thus can only "eat" truth, that is your normal diet, lies do not agree with your internal constitution, so they remain somewhere inside you in an indigestible form, festering and rotting, giving out detrimental vibrations that affect you, and those around you, it is constantly draining you of energy, vitality, and stamina like wheat :D, blocking you from your true potential. Know i ask you, in the cosmology that the C's have helped Laura and friends create, where does the very idea of lying come from? From the center of non-being or so i think, this explains why lying for a souled or potentially souled being is the worst act that can be committed; and also why, when one looks at oneself objectively and impartially, one is able to see these foreign substances, that have been inserted into one's presence since the time of our arising, onwards, for what they are, namely things that have absolutely no business being inside you, or even associated with you, and thus proceed to expunge them from ones presence. This Brings to mind a quote from the bible that goes something like this "What congress hath righteousness with the unrighteous, truth with lies".

This also explains this quote that psyche shared:

If we put that into psychological language, they refused to become conscious, and unrealized consciousness becomes a burning fire, coals of fire on their heads! That is why, according to Jung, not becoming conscious when one has the possibility of doing so is the worst sin. If there is no germ of possible consciousness within, if God made you unconscious and you just stay that way, then it doesn't matter; but if one does not live up, to an inner possibility, then this inner possibility becomes destructive. That's why Jung also says that in a similar way one of the most wicked destructive forces, psychologically speaking, is unused creative power. That is another aspect. [b]If somebody has a creative gift and out of laziness, or for some other reason one doesn't use it, that psychic energy turns into sheer poison.[/b] That's why we often diagnose neuroses and psychotic diseases as not-lived higher possibilities.

A neurosis is often a plus, not a minus, but an unlived plus, a higher possibility of becoming more conscious, or becoming more creative, funked for some lousy excuse. The refusal of higher development or higher consciousness is, in our experience, one of the most destructive things there is. Among other things, it makes people automatically want to pull back every¬body else who tries. Someone who has unlived creativity tries to destroy other people's creativity, and somebody who has an un¬lived possibility of consciousness always tries to blur or make uncertain anybody else's efforts toward consciousness. That's why Jung says that if a patient outgrows his analyst, which hap¬pens frequently, he has to leave the analyst, because the latter will probably try to pull the patient back onto the old level.

The desire to prevent other people from becoming conscious because one does not Want to wake up oneself is real destructiveness. And having the possibility of becoming conscious and not taking it is about the worst thing possible. [...]

You as the orb form, the only existence which has the capability, and thus, possibility, to awaken, to become ever more conscious; it is the fulfillment of our, to quote Gurdjieff "Being particle duty". The ones who have rejected the possibility of awakening, and thus aligned themselves with the thought centers of none being, have literally mutated themselves into another form of existence, its like epigenetics, and how what we "eat", the conditions of our environment, and other factors, affect our DNA, either for the better, or for the worse.

This choice of the souled or potentially souled being, goes against its very nature and internal configuration, so this choice literally forces a structural change of the internal configuration of the being, the internal configuration of the being, thus having taken this very unnatural and artificial arrangement, puts undue stress on the entire being itself. At a certain point determined by the composition and structure of the being itself, any other stimulating input (the wave anyone), will cause a destruction of this very structure, which is the totality of the being in question. I will expand upon this below.

You see, knowledge that is objective, and thus true, that is eaten, digested and assimilated into ones being, thus forming understanding; increases ones being. As the orb form existence this means expansion and greater density, so that one is not as easily compressed, thus more likely to associate with the ground; and since there is no limit to expansion based on knowledge transformed into understanding, CONSCIOUS infinity is the destination for that particular existence which has CHOSEN this path. However, when you as the orb existence, chooses the absurd (from my perspective atleast) path of identifying with what i have called the ground (programs, lies, beliefs, etc), with the accompanying unnatural stress on you, an energetic event like the wave will lead to your literal destruction. "I" will illustrate my point with an analogy to a charged body in physics. i got the information for this from Wall Thornhills lectures at NPA, youtube, by reading his papers, and just reading about the electic universe cosmology.

The elemental composition and internal structure of a body determines its parameters, especially in regards to how it handles an influx of energy. You see, when a body has an optimal composition and structure, it is able to handle great amounts of energy (in this case it would be electricity) passing through it, with none andor very minor deformations; But when the composition and structure of that same body is changed to a sub-optimal or lower state, and an influx of energy passes through it, the object starts to heat up. Heat is an indication that only manifests when energies flow through an object, and the energies are resisted.

Take a hugely energetic event like the wave, and for the purposes of continuing the analogy, think of this orb form of existence as a plasma now, to quote Wal Thornhill from his recent NPA lecture on youtube "The flow of electricity through plasma causes glows, arcs, jets filaments, beads, bubbles, kinks, "sausages", tornadoes, and EXPLOSIONS. This warrants me again to note the importance that the C's have put on gathering knowledge; but not just stopping at gathering knowledge, but to actively mentate upon the knowledge that is gathered, thus turning it into understanding, thus increasing one's BEING, and also the importance on cleansing one's self of lies, emotional traumas, and so on, which all add to the unnatural composition and structuring of you as this existence. This process literally changes the internal composition and structure of your existence, to a state that can handle such energies, without resisting it, and thus manifest it destructively as heat, and at the extreme end EXPLOSIONS. Soul smashing is precisely this, the explosion of your existence into primal matter, and remember you are this orb form of existence.

This is why giving is so important, and why creation is divided into STS and STO. Giving, i define as both a figurative/metaphorical, and or literal giving of oneself to another. Figuratively, it may take the form of giving your time and energy to someone else when asked, to help them understand a particular problem they have encountered for their growth and empowerment. Literally, it may take the form of giving of oneself as this orb form of existence, as in the creation of a new thought/idea in existence, and letting all who desire it to take it unto/into themselves.

Hi bngenoh, it would be really appreciated if you could work on your brevity. There is a lot of mental wandering around in this post, mostly for your own benefit. If you could pare it down to your main point, and make that point in as few words as possible, that would greatly enhance not only your message, but the enjoyment of your reader. Gurdjieff would call what you've done here 'wiseacring' - so it would be interesting to see if you can turn that wiseacring into concise communication.

Added: I think by 'Being Particle Duty', you mean 'Being Partkdolg Duty' from Beelzebub's Tales?

It seems to me here that you are saying that a STS (or thought center of non-being) aligned entity does not have a soul which is not true. A soul can choose the STS or STO dynamic. So the bolded sections above are perhaps applicable to those souls who choose and struggle to align with the STO thought centers. A minor point perhaps - but thought I would point it out.

Interesting that you mentioned the electric universe theory. Plasma has a very intrinsic property of shielding itself . This is true for blood plasma inside our bodies and space plasma. In fact, it is said that Nobel laureate Irving Langmuir coined the term "plasma" for ionized gases which were being studies in the labs due to this intrinsic similarity with bioplasma inside our bodies.

When space plasma (which is said to constitute over 99% of the matter in the universe) forms the electrical shield, the isolating wall is composed of two closely spaced layers - one layer consisting of positive charge and the other consisting of negative charge. Langmuir called this the double sheath and today it is known as double layer (DL). These double layers can be formed due to non-homogenous nature of the plasma (dissimilar properties like chemical composition, density, temperature) or when the plasma is made to conduct a certain amount of electrical current. Either way, if sufficiently excited electrically, these DLs explode - causing astrophysical phenomena like aurora and solar flares. Here is a wikipedia link on DLs.

It is interesting to speculate about the "psychological equivalent" of this fundamental property of matter in the universe. We are quite "non-homogenous" inside - being composed of many "i's" and "buffers" which prevent these dissimilar parts from coming into contact. Focused attention of self-observation can dissolve/explode these buffers and increase homogenity inside. And if we have vastly different dissociated parts in ourselves, a high energy Wave can perhaps literally explode these internal buffers causing disintegration or soul-smashing in extreme cases.

The effect of General Law acting on a person trying to wake up is to typically surround him/her by elements which try to distract or depolarize the person. In a sense, this could also be looked upon like a "social plasma" phenomenon of shielding. Also when those of a similar aim join together to form a group, together they can form a conduit which is capable of conducting a large amount of energy - much like a homogenous plasma medium that can transfer electric charge while offering little resistance.

Not sure if such ideas are really useful - but sometimes it is fun to speculate a little bit - osit. Apologies if this sounds like "wiseacring" and a waste of time for those reading it.

I think that really depends on the person and the situation. Sometimes (conscious) "lying" is the best act considering the being of all involved. And sometimes (which is what you're referring to, I think) the act of lying to oneself and others (the detrimental kind) can offer great lessons, once recognized, either in this life or after many. So it's all part of the school.

Maybe. But not everyone's duty is 'to awaken' the way you understand it. Those who have chosen to learn, will learn their lessons, in their own way, at their own pace. Maybe they didn't ''reject the possibility of awakening'', but simply are not ready for it naturally.

Why? Do you know everyone's ''nature and internal configuration''? Though in the context of the state of the world, I understand how people are becoming less human, going against their nature of who they truly can be. But in the context of learning lessons, maybe they're just there where they should be and have chosen to be, in which you could say, they're not going against its nature, but simply are there, because it is natural for them to be there.

Well, we are all on that path, and we all may be destroyed with the rest, if such a thing is going to happen at all. But that's not really the point, I think it's best to focus on what's going on now, and especially what's going on with you (working on oneself).
I personally also don't find it an ''absurd path'', it's just an illusion put into place, a path put into place, for all to learn.

This warrants me again to note the importance that the C's have put on gathering knowledge; but not just stopping at gathering knowledge, but to actively mentate upon the knowledge that is gathered, thus turning it into understanding, thus increasing one's BEING, and also the importance on cleansing one's self of lies, emotional traumas, and so on, which all add to the unnatural composition and structuring of you as this existence. Maybe. And that idea is quite frightening! But even if that weren't to happen, because we can't be absolutely sure, there IS going to be a lot of craziness going on (and is going on ATM), earth changes and all that. So it seems to me, that all we can do is continue to work on ourselves and give to the Universe and other people as much as we can, as much as we are able to in our current personal state of being - and to continue to read the signs of the times.

Thank you for this, i shall focus on distilling it down. The hypothesizing is just how i think i guess, plaing with concepts and such, but a very welcome suggestion i shall follow it. It seems my thoughts are still relatively murky, and i shall have to work to clarify, and purify them further.

I think that really depends on the person and the situation. Sometimes (conscious) "lying" is the best act considering the being of all involved. Very true, i cannot know how i would have missed factoring in the context. Thanks for poinitng it out. And yeah i was talking about the detrimental kind.

Very true, that was a very precocious statement (thinking that i know about such a thing). Again, a thousand thanks for poinitng it out.

However, when you as the orb existence, chooses the absurd (from my perspective atleast) path of identifying with what i have called the ground (programs, lies, beliefs, etc), with the accompanying unnatural stress on you, an energetic event like the wave will lead to your literal destruction.

Well, we are all on that path, and we all may be destroyed with the rest, if such a thing is going to happen at all. But that's not really the point, I think it's best to focus on what's going on now, and especially what's going on with you (working on oneself).
I personally also don't find it an ''absurd path'', it's just an illusion put into place, a path put into place, for all to learn.

Again, thank you for pointing out my pretensions, this objective input will aid me greatly in refining my ideas.

This warrants me again to note the importance that the C's have put on gathering knowledge; but not just stopping at gathering knowledge, but to actively mentate upon the knowledge that is gathered, thus turning it into understanding, thus increasing one's BEING, and also the importance on cleansing one's self of lies, emotional traumas, and so on, which all add to the unnatural composition and structuring of you as this existence. This process literally changes the internal composition and structure of your existence, to a state that can handle such energies, without resisting it, and thus manifest it destructively as heat, and at the extreme end EXPLOSIONS. Soul smashing is precisely this, the explosion of your existence into primal matter, and remember you are this orb form of existence.

Maybe. And that idea is quite frightening! But even if that weren't to happen, because we can't be absolutely sure, there IS going to be a lot of craziness going on (and is going on ATM), earth changes and all that. So it seems to me, that all we can do is continue to work on ourselves and give to the Universe and other people as much as we can, as much as we are able to in our current personal state of being - and to continue to read the signs of the times.
