Reconciling views of the Universe/Spirit

A bit of a background first:
I've been a member of the forum for quite some time, but, admittedly, a boardlurker for most of the time.
I've recently hit a rough patch and experienced what seemed like "mild" depression - it would appear that it may be a symptom of what the C's refer to the "fence-sitter block" :)
My wife suggested taking a look at the Tipping method and so I got Colin Tipping's book titled Radical Forgiveness. Reading through it helped me find two issues with my relationship with my father that I thought were minor, but apparently were more impacting that I'd thought. I am very grateful for my wife's suggestion and the book itself.
Similarly, I've gotten back to EE and been utilizing pipe breath to help release some tension. I *have to* devote more time to the entire program as my effort in The Work has been lackluster, at best.

Context for the question:
In reading Mr. Tipping's book, I've found myself drawn (again) to Caroline Myss' work. She's a medical intuitive who's focused most of her life on the soul and how the mystics of the past described their relationship with the Spirit/Universe/Divine and their struggles as their spiritual lives/journeys progressed.
The views of both Mr. Tipping and Caroline Myss on the Spirit, as far as I understand, fit in with the "all there is is lessons" idea continually underscored by the C's. However, I'm having a bit of a hard time intellectually combining their seemingly benign view of the Universe with the reality of multiple densities, energy feeding and similar non-pleasant things that we know exist.

Question:
Is there a way to intellectually reconcile these views of the Universe?

I have the Wave series, but never finished it (I think I've gone 1/2 through book 3) - I may have to get back through it, along with spending more time on the Forum, however overwhelming all the info may seem (eat an elephant one bite at a time).

Many thanks.

Maybe they just hadn't encountered the negative aspects of existence? In the afterlife material, we see a lot of positivity in the afterlife experiences, but there is also some negative hellish experience for those who were lost in life. And there's that session where it talks about how negative polarized souls don't share and are isolated in the afterlife.
