I've been following these people for some time, doing some research on them. Their main website is republicoftheunitedstates.org.
They basically claim that the "Republic" was suspended by Lincoln during the Civil War, and replaced with Admiralty Law, and when he was assassinated, he never got the chance to end Martial or Admiralty Law, so that we essentially live under constant emergency rule, and as long as a state of emergency exists, e.g. War on Drugs, Communism, Terrorism, etc., that the Admiralty Law will remain in place.
That is, unless enough people were to declare themselves "sovereign citizens" and come together in each state to "re-inhabit" the Republic and establish Grand Juries in each State.
A lot of the same people, or at least the proponent of it I came into contact with also talk a lot about the "Accepted for Value" or "Redemption" scam, which is listed on the FBI's own website on its list of known frauds and scams.
From what I can tell, they're either useful idiots or CIA/FBI connected, or both, and they're goading people into telling the authorities where they live, so they can be put on lists, and if/whenever the Feds really do institute Martial Law and start putting people into prison camps, they'd be the first people the Feds would come for. Or even worse, they're actually encouraging people to commit federal crimes so they can be locked away for the rest of their life. The maximum sentence for this "Redemption" scam is 25 years. At least that's my two cents.
But I figure with so many intelligent people on this forum, maybe we can get to the bottom of this one.
A very interesting clue in connection with all of these "sovereign citizens" was the fact that Terry Nichols, alleged accomplice of the Oklahoma City Bombing, was a self-declared "sovereign citizen" or something along those lines. Now I know that most of the major bombings in the US the past two decades had Mossad's fingerprints all over them, so perhaps that'd be a good clue or place to start.

So what of Terry Nichols in all of this? Was he an unwitting accomplice, a useful idiot, to the OKC Bombing or was he the FBI's inside man, who had to then be demonized and silenced because he knew too much? And furthermore was his role as a patsy in part meant to demonize the entire "sovereign citizen" movement, which at that point in time had come to a head with several police standoffs and shootings in states such as Montana, Idaho, Texas, and Colorado?
Also, the current "de jure" (sounds like some kind of French dipping sauce) government led by "President" James Timothy Turner (who in everything he's said, appears to be intent upon making said "Republic" a Theocracy)... wonder what we can find out about him and his connections, as well as the rest of the current "leaders" of this Republic of the United States of America (commonly called RUSA for short... a bit ironic, yes?).
