Many rescue dog owners say that they didn’t save their pup—it saved them. Amanda Tromp’s (https://www.facebook.com/Goldilocksandthewolfphotography/), story is a powerful example of the bond between a human and her dog, which helped her change her life and discover her passion for photography. It all started three years ago when Tromp volunteered to help raise a litter of huskies that were abandoned by their mother. After bottle feeding and raising the puppies, she ended up adopting a chunky boy with beautiful blue eyes, whom she named Kyro.

The pup had more of an impact on her than she ever imagined. At the time, Tromp felt trapped in an abusive relationship. Taking Kyro on short adventures gave her an excuse to temporarily escape her situation, and he eventually inspired her to leave her controlling boyfriend for good.
