The Force is Strong With This One
Hello,
I thought I'd share some music I've been writing recently.
Brief Rundown of what the River Songs are about:
Circa 1880 there was a canoe trip down the Thames lead by William Lees Judson and Paul Peel. The trip went from the Forks of the Thames in London, Ontario and headed down to Light House Cove at Lake St. Clair. During the trip there were documentations of the landscape and river course. In 2007 the trip was re-enacted by Philip Aziz and other London Artists. An Ash tree fell in Philip's yard and it is now being carved out, telling the story of the two trips down the Thames. As reported in the London Free Press, there is a chance that this tree may be visiting the Olympics in Vancouver in 2010.
We wrote songs relating to these trips and to the Story Book Tree. At my website you can see some of the songs in their early Piano & Vocal only form. There are a few videos up at marcelg.ca.
If you decide to take a listen, I hope you enjoy.
Have a good day!
